I think the time confusion is the result of how the article is written.

Elvis’ roommate, identified in a police report as Brianna Warrelmann, received a phone call from Elvis at about 1:44 a.m. Dec. 18, police records state.
According to the report, the roommate said the victim “seemed like she was crying and upset” due to receiving a call from a man the report says was nearly twice her age.
The report also said the victim previously had a relationship with the man, and that he said he left his wife and wanted to be with the victim.
Warrelmann declined to discuss the nature of the phone call when contacted by the Chronicle.
“I’m not allowed to speak about that at this time,” Warrelmann said.
Warrelmann, who was in Florida for Christmas break when Elvis disappeared, did say she spoke to Elvis about her date with Shiraldi.
She said that conversation occurred at about 2 a.m. Dec. 18.

I believe the statements I bolded are referring to the same phone call . The police report says 1:44. BW says about 2 a.m. emphasis on " THAT " conversation.

I think the phone call when Heather was crying happened at a later time

LOL, we posted almost the same exact thing at the same time!

HEY!!! people!!!

yes!! the reporter just didn't clarify time zone. it makes perfect sense if you allow for that!!!

I'm trying to wrap my head around how 1:45 is really 2:00, she may not have arrived home until 2:30, and she went from having a good time, calling to share that, crying in the same breath about an older man, and posting on Tumblr.

I've never seen a case where there had to be so many qualifiers about time zones.

I just think there are gaps in the timeline, including what her activities were from 10:43 p.m. until 2:00-2:30 a.m., or may 1:45, depending.

Okay Everybody - some rule refreshers here!

When quoting from the media, you can use full names because there are no minors involved.

When posting comments/thoughts/speculation, etc. please change names to initials. It's just a courtesy.

Remember any discussion of the Date or the Roommate must be related to what we have now learned from MSM. No speculation or sleuthing of these folks.

Mind the TOS and be grateful we finally can TALK!

IMO I thought some of her posts indicated she WAS hung up on an unavailable man...but not sure of the dates, will have to read again.

Regarding the early morning hours, it is my experience from friends who are in construction and landscaping type jobs, they get up extremely early (like 3:30 on), mainly I think to beat the heat or so I thought...

Yes. I don't know what type of phone this mysterious older man has, but I have an iPhone 5s and can literally block any number I was directly from the Settings function of my phone.

Yes. Also, you typically don't call someone to tell them to stop calling you. You simply answer the phone when they call you and say, "Hey, this is inappropriate. Don't call me anymore."

Couple of things before I head home from work. Been on here all day lol

The car was locked when LE found it. Her Dad unlocked it when he arrived.

I think there were 2 separate phone calls to the roommate.

I don't think Heather was over this MM considering her last social media posts.

Deleted. Somehow posted twice.

For whatever it's worth, my remarks about timelines are in regard to discrepancies in what's reported, not out of an intent to single out anyone involved in the timeline. The date also sounds like it makes no sense to him.

I assume you mean how would the officer know the father's phone #.

The police in our area have access to information databases that we don't. But I don't believe the contact was by phone, according to the article, but face-to-face at TE's home. THAT info would be on the registration when he ran the license. In fact, since the father owned the car that was why the officer went to the father's and not HE's.

TE posted about this to a place <modsnip>saying that the officer who came to his house to ask about the car, was a friend of his.

I'm trying to put it together and maybe it was something like this:

12/17 10:43 p.m. - texts photo to dad

12/18 - Around 2:00 a.m. - Comes home from date, calls roommate happy about date

Between 2-230 am - Some kind of communication with Older Man, also makes poetry posts on Tumblr

Around 2:44 am (ET) - calls roommate upset, says OM said he wants to leave his wife for her.

Around 6am - phone calls (plural) between HE and OM.

When? - Phone is turned off/stops pinging

When? - Car is reported/found on 12/19

What do you guys think?

Earlier it was suggested that BW was in the Florida panhandle - an hour later timezone.

Actually an hour EARLIER if the roommate was in the panhandle. Say, Pensacola.

But I get your point. If the date drops HE off at her place at 2-2:30 Eastern Time and the roommate has a conversation with HE at 1:44 Central Time then that fits. 1:44 Central Time would be 2:44 Eastern Time.

If that is the case, she could have returned an earlier unanswered call (because she was on a date & didn't want to answer it) between the time she enters her condo and 2:44 ET. That could be a call to the older man. Or the older man called her and in that case it might not show on her records except as a missed call ON HER PHONE. (Which has not been found.) She calls her roommate at 2:44 ET.

What I can't fit in is the Tumblr (sp?) activity btw 1:53 AM and 2:09 AM unless she did that while riding back to the condo on her phone.

Or am I way off base on this?

Snipped from MyHorryNews article. My comments in bold:

Efforts to contact either man have been unsuccessful. REALLY?

Elvis’ roommate, identified in a police report as Brianna Warrelmann, received a phone call from Elvis at about 1:44 a.m. Dec. 18, police records state. While HE was still on date or getting dropped off. Really? Or time zone difference? Then, why isn't this clarified? Report time would/should be based on incident location.

###

The report also said the victim previously had a relationship with the man, and that he said he left his wife and wanted to be with the victim. But, was still living under the same roof? I wouldn't say he got very far.

###

Warrelmann declined to discuss the nature of the phone call when contacted by the Chronicle.

“I’m not allowed to speak about that at this time,” Warrelmann said. Says who?

###

Shiraldi said he doesn’t recall Elvis speaking with anyone via cell phone during their date other than her father, Terry Elvis, and Warrelmann. So, HE spoke to her Father while on the date?

“I don’t remember her receiving any calls unless someone called her and she just silenced it,” Shiraldi said. “I know she didn’t answer any phone calls.” Doesn't mean she didn't. Or sent and received text messages!

###

Shiraldi has no recollection of her crying or becoming upset. He said he “definitely” dropped Elvis off after 2 a.m. Dec. 18. Really?

“When I got back in Murrells Inlet, it was about 3 a.m.,” he said. “I couldn’t imagine her going back out because she was tired. It doesn’t really add up.” If he got home at 3AM, that would mean he dropped HE off closer to 2:30. It only takes 20 minutes to drive to MI from HE condo. Plus, faster with little traffic at that time.

Eight posts were also made to Heather Elvis’ Tumblr page on Dec. 18, the night she disappeared, but the identity of who made the posts was unclear. Actually it was 10

The HUGE gap in time from the 6:00 am phone call on 12/18 and the police/TE getting to the car on 12/19 is such a long time frame. IMO too long of a time for an endless amount of things to occur :(

And that would make a difference....if there were two calls to the roommate.

I think there are more phone/text contacts than we know about and it would be interesting to discover when her car left her driveway.

She was DEFINITELY at least checking her phone throughout the night. She's learning to drive stick for the first time and no doubt bucking the car and using both feet awkwardly for the very first time ... where's her phone during her lesson??? Right on her lap. Not in her purse, not in the cup holder, not on the floor. I would think that would be the LAST place you want your phone when you're learning to drive a stick, since it would be flying all over the place. So if you want your phone even during your lesson, that tells me you don't part with your phone at all.

It's more likely HE drove somewhere to meet this guy and was confronted by the wife. A fight broke out and things got out of control, and something bad happened. We now know she was alive at 6 am. The next question should be where was she getting these calls at. Was it at home or at the boat landing. Did she go over this persons house sometime Wednesday?

How do we know that she was alive at 6 am?

Guys, most of FL is EST, but about half of the panhandle is CST. I really think that is the time hang up here...

I agree. Fits the timeline, reports, and time zones. I think she was on Tumblr on her phone during her ride home.
