''CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in solving a 2016 murder case.

Sheriff’s deputies are seeking information about the murder of Jermaine Frasier (45), who was shot and killed on December 29, 2016, on Burgin Road.

CCSO said Frasier was ambushed by an assailant who shot him as he was getting out of his vehicle after arriving home from work at Randolph’s Grocery.

“No motive for the killing is known, and no substantial leads have been developed.”

Family of McClellanville murder victim makes plea for help to find killer

The family of a man shot to death outside his home in McClellanville made a plea Wednesday for help to catch his killer.

"It's gonna be solved. I'm not doing no cold case for my son. I'm not doing a cold case," she said.

Nashawn Frasier has a message for her brother's killer.

"May you not get any sleep at night, may you have worse days because we are not getting any sleep and we have bad days," Frasier said.

''McCLELLANVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) - Investigators are asking for anyone who knows anything about a deadly 2016 shooting in McClellanville to come forward.

Friday marked seven years since 45-year-old Jermaine Frasier was ambushed as he returned home from work at Randolph’s Grocery.

Deputies say at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2016, Frasier had just pulled into his driveway in the 800 block of Burgin Road and was getting out of his vehicle when someone opened fire through his car window.''

''There was no obvious motive in the killing and deputies say they have not been able to develop any “substantial leads” in the investigation, deputies said on their Facebook page.''
