His sister Julie will be on Tricia's radio show tomorrow.
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/websleuths The show normally lasts an hour but will go into the second hour so she can talk to Julie. I just got off the phone with Julie and put together a timeline of the case. Since this is coming from Julie I think this is the most accurate reporting we'll find.
The family arrived at the Seacrest hotel at 803 ocean blvd. on Thursday 8/2/2012.

On Friday at about 3:30pm Johnny said he was going to the Family Kingdom Amusement Park which is about two blocks away. He left his wallet and ID, and probably had about $20 on him total and no jewelry.
At 4:30pm the family went to dinner at a restaurant and when they got back they noticed Johnny hadnt returned. They went looking for him up by the amusement park and continued to drive around looking for him until about 5:30 in the morning. While looking they saw two police officers and stopped them. The family told the officers that Johnny was missing and gave them a description of him and what he was wearing.
On Saturday morning, the 4th, a hotel worker told them that he had been across the street around 5:30pm on Friday. She didnt know who he was or that he was missing. Johnny had said he was missing his family and went off in the opposite direction of the amusement park. The hotel worker also saw him on her way into work that morning. She told them he was sitting on the curb by a bank.
The family left to look for him and got there about 3:30pm. They stopped into nearby stores to ask about him. They found out hed been at the BBQ place next to the bank and the BBQ place had fed him at about 12:30pm and they had just missed him by about three hours.
Friday night about 10pm he had been stopped by police in Surfside off the bypass near Georgetown because he was walking alone down the highway. (He had gotten there by taking a cab, but the driver found out he had no money and she wouldnt take him any farther because she couldnt understand him, but she didnt call the cops on him either.) The missing persons report hadnt gone through yet and they didnt know about him being lost. He told the police about the Seacrest Hotel and they called the hotel to ask if anyone knew of a worker like him. Nobody knew a worker by that name and were unaware he was missing.
The family looked for him all day Saturday, but since they didnt know he had gotten a cab the night before, they didnt go all the way into Surfside.
When the grandkids got home on Sunday they found out he had called on Friday night from a Chic Fil-A, Arbys and from a couple of cell numbers to his home in Georgia.
On Monday Julie contacted the Myrtle Beach police with the phone numbers he had called from. They tracked one of them to a beach store he had called from on Saturday the 4th about 9am. The family went to the store and IDd him when they saw the surveillance video. Thats the last reliable sighting theyve had of him.
There was a sighting on the 13th at Mcdonalds in Surfside. A woman pulled up to the drivethru window and there was a man standing there at the ordering board, and she didnt know anything about the case and rolled up windows and drove around. She was a little nervous about him. When she got home she turned on the news and saw a story about him and recognized him immediately. She called the Surfside PD and the police said its not their jurisdiction and to call Horry county. She called them but they told her it was Surfside PD she should call. She demanded they check it out, but they appear to have let it go. She called the news and left a message. The next morning she called Julie crying because she felt like she was responsible for not getting him help.
Another sighting was from someone calling from their home who had returned on the 14th of August after staying at the Seacrest hotel. They had stayed there for eight days and they think they saw him four or five times while there.
After that somebody said they saw him at the Conway soup kitchen between the 20th and 24th.
The latest possible sighting might have been at a Surfside flea market on early Friday morning the 24th.
TES is planning to come in and should be on the ground by Wednesday, but the Labor Day holiday may push it back to the 7th or 8th.
If you see him tell him Ruby Pops, Blackie, Rev. and Julieanne are looking for you. Call home Johnny. Stay with him. Hes afraid of police so call the number on the poster first. Julieannes number is: 404-576-6306.
Some identifying characteristics are that he will always nod his head. He looks down and messes with his ankles. If you ask him do you live in Cartersville Georgia hell know it.
Since the picture on the poster was taken he may have grown a beard, his hair would be thicker and he might be wearing a beige camouflage hat and may look very tired and disoriented.
The people in their town have been helping out with expenses so they can go back on the 31st and stay until the 3rd or 4th to continue looking. They had to leave on the 14th of August earlier.
