Shoot, I forgot to add the AA/NA meeting locations for posting flyers, as well as the churches in the area (sometimes they are one and the same.)
Many people pass through these areas, and from all walks of life. And they are usually willing to help.

So, here is what I gather as possible sightings. I am not clear on the order or the dates that these sightings occurred:

1. Whispering Surf Motel: 2608 South Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC

2. Bar-B-Que House – 1205 Hwy 17 N Surfside Beach, SC 29575 – August 4th

3. Surfside Beach Resort - 15 South Ocean Boulevard Surfside Beach, SC 29575

4. Bar and grill across street from Surfside Beach Resort – This is close to the Surfside Pier

5. Hudson’s Flea Market: 1040 U.S. 17 Business, Surfside Beach, SC

6. Denny’s : (There are three of them, so I am posting addresses to each - most likely it was the first one)
a. 1200 U.S. 17 Business, Surfside Beach, SC (closest to Surfside Resort)
b. Loyola Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC
c. 800 South Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC

7. Old Time Pottery: 1870 SOUTH Kings Highway, Surfside Beach, SC 29575, United States, (behind MacDonalds) on highway 17 south, past Hwy. 544, on 2nd red light on right, behind Macdonalds.

I have tried to map the main ones here:

When I saw him between the Denny's and the Jiffy Lube it was the one at 1200 Business 17 in Surfside if that helps.

I'd also like to add that it's only takes a minute (or less) to walk from the Dennys to the Jiffy Lube and it's all woods in between (except for the defunct Taco Bell on the edge of the woods just a froveway south of the Jiffy Lube.)

I watched the first "archive" clip of the boardwalk cam, and saw this guy sitting on a bench, and then he gets up and walks. I think he is probably too heavy to be JB, but his hat and shorts look familiar. It was within the first minute of the 10:00 - 11:00 AM archive.

It is interesting that this guy who is wearing shorts and a cap similar to Johnny's walks alone onto the boardwalk at 9:51:39 am this morning (9/2/12). He walks over to one of the benches, and sits there, frequently leaning forward with his head lowered and his arms on his thighs. He stands to leave in the second archived clip at 10:00:52. He walks back the same direction he came from and disappears from camera at about 10:01:43. There were lots of other people walking around, and no one looked twice at this man. The cap and the shorts would have made me at least look closely at him.

Here is a picture of him when he first enters, walking towards the bench he sat on for at least 10 minutes:

The front view of the guy does look a lot heavier than Johnny, but the backview does make you look twice!

I did see the Surfside Police sitting near Angelos (that's between McDonalds and Dennys) today, but didn't see much other activity. I had to go to a birthday lunch for a friend so I haven't had to do much else yet. Has anyone heard ANYTHING????

I agree.... I don't think it is him either, but it can't really be ruled out, unless someone spoke to him. It bothered me that he is similar in appearance, and was all alone, sort of down in the dumps, the way he was sitting for 10 minutes, and NO ONE asked him anything, or even seem to notice him sitting there. It just goes to show that Johnny can be walking around still, and so I have not given up hope. Praying hard!!!! :please:

The picture is a little blurry.
The way the shorts fit looked the same to me in both pictures.
His legs look about the same size.
Don't the shoes also look the same?
Are you sure it's not him?

Not sure of anything... If someone knew him, they might recognize the way he walks. It was just odd that the guy walks onto the boardwalk, goes straight to the bench and sits for at least 10 minutes, often bending over from the waist. If I had seem him in person, I would have certainly spoken with him, and dozen of people appeared to not even see him sitting there. Could just be a guy who was out for a walk by himself this morning. I obviously have a heightened sense of awareness and am looking for him everywhere - including on webcams.:crazy:

Gosh Reeann, I really think it does look a lot like him! Have you called it in? I would but i'm in the UK!

Off to dinner with family. I recorded the 'khaki shorts man' walking on and walking off of the boardwalk from this morning on the webcam. I used my tablet to just record it off of the screen of my PC. The chances of this solitary man walking and sitting on the bench being Johnny are slim, but the shorts and hat match. It seems ridiculous to think anyone would randomly pick a webcam video and ta-da! just happen to see Johnny on it. But then again.... even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. :moo:

The first on Aug 4 was the BBQ HOUSE in Surfside Beach .Then the Surfside Beach Resort ,15 S. Ocean Blvd.and the bar and grill across the street .Hudson's Flea Market ,Denny's and a MacDonalds that sits in front of Old Towne Pottery .These are all in Surfside Beach ,SC .
When the family first started searching they were told of a sighting at Whispering Surf Motel in Myrtle Beach .He was seen with a man named Roger who has since been kicked out .OLG and I spoke with the manager .She said Roger was staying in a neighborhood nicknamed "the hill" .It's about 7 streets total and is right behind the police station .
If I can think of anything else I'll post it .
Oh ! The family saw a surveillance video of Johnny at a tourist shop but I don't know where.

Do we know what date this video is from?

This is great news!!!

I wonder what he was wearing then?

OK... I uploaded the recorded video to youtube. Here is the video of the khaki shorts man walking onto the boardwalk this morning around 9:51 am. You see him enter from the bottom left of the camera view at about 0:16 in this video.

This was before the family went back to GA the first time .The sightings at the Flea Market and near Denny's were 8-9 days ago .

And here is the video of the khaki shorts man exiting the boardwalk. The video starts with him sitting by the 3rd light pole from the left. He is sitting on the bench. Sorry it is shaky, but I was holding my tablet up in front of my PC to record it.

The family should see this .They would know . Really great idea to check this .It may not be Johnny but you're looking and that must make the family feel good .
