Really enjoyed the show Tricia. Hopefully Johnny will be found very soon. Wish Tim Miller could get there sooner, but I know he has other cases. I have the clothes Johnny was wearing sometime before he went missing, and his
mom said they haven't been washed, just in case SAR is brought in. I'm ready to roll!

Does anyone know of any companies who offer billboard space for missing persons in Myrtle Beach? Please post the information!!!

Would the local chamber of commerce be able to help with that?

http://nextmediamb.com/ is the name on most all the Billboards in Myrtle beach, including the ones with Brittanee Drexel's missing info on them. In searching for pictures of her billboards I came across this article.. http://www.abcnews4.com/story/15259038/father-of-missing-ny-teen-wants-answers-in-the-lowcountry-searching which discusses "The Kristen foundation".. it appears they may have helped her father with the billboard.http://www.kristenfoundation.org

Me too. Holding my breath, looking for located in the title. Then being terrified that its not there. Prayers for Johnny, his family, and all of our wonderful members that are giving their time and resources to search for him.

Hoping today is the day.
I strongly believe Johnny will be found soon. When I went up last WED. I felt overwhelmed due to the high concentration of businesses, hotels, condos ,etc...
Going back this weekend was a very different story .

We got sightings at the flea market ,on the frontage road that the flea market sits on,possible sightings at the Bar and Grill across the street from Surfside Beach Resort and at least 2 people who saw him with a man who was staying at Whispering Surf motel. The manager at that motel remembered seeing him this man.
Just talking to people who had seen Johnny ,was very encouraging to me. I think he's settled into this area .
Fabgod has expressed the same idea, that he's sticking to the same routine ,just waiting.
Hanging in the same basic area.

It's so encouraging that there are people saying they've seen Johnny, yet, so discouraging that he hasn't been found.

I wish Johnny had been found the same night he went missing ,but there is so much more hope than there is in cases where someone simply disappears or is found deceased. There's no foul play suspected at this time and we have some credible sightings.
We met so many people that were concerned and planned to drive around looking for Johnny.
I'm very hopeful.

Hoping and praying for Johnny in Utah!! All of you on the ground are angels!! Thank you so much for doing what we others here at WS cannot due to distance / circumstances. This case breaks my heart that he has been lost for so long; but I also have HOPE that he will be found!

has anyone reached out to local hospitals and homeless shelters?

myrtle beach homeless shelters:
http://www.helpstreetreach.com/social-media.html
http://www.northstrandhousingshelter.org/
http://www.community-kitchen-of-myrtle-beach.com/
http://cherryhillconway.org/

also wondering if johnny might seek out help at a church?

Funny you mentioned this now...I just got back from two of those places. The woman at Street Reach said she remembered seeing his flyer around. She took a flyer and they will be on the look out for him. Community Kitchen was closed when we got there...will try again tomorrow. Nearby was the Canal Street Recreation Center...a beautiful facility in the middle of an area that is very depressed for the most part with a few nicer homes sprinkled in. There seemed to be an area right there near the Community Kitchen where a few homeless people seemed to congregate. I didn't dare to go up to them because one was yelling out strange things which was a little frightening to my kids who were in the car. However I did drive by a few times to look for Johnny and since it is pretty much between the Rec Center (where they were very nice and took flyers) and the Community Kitchen where I will drop flyers tomorrow, I think that area is covered.

Based on the information coming from sightings, it seems that Johnny has settled South of Myrtle Beach and sometimes I think this is not the area in which he'll be found. But, then I keep thinking maybe he'll come back to the Seacrest Hotel. I wonder what this retention level is. Would he still remember the name of that hotel?

I also keep wondering about the sightings...has any of them had any verbal contact with Johnny? Are the police able to verify who any of the people are who he's been seen with and are they actively tryiing to do so, or just waiting for more tips? Are the Surfside Police involved or just MBPD?

Sorry for rambling...just thinking out loud and getting frustrated...

Getting the flyers into the hands of the homeless would also be good, if there is a modest reward that might increase interest. Some of them would probably help pass the flyers out among their little groups.

I don't know anything about these searches but would every police department and mental health facility in that part of the state be notified due to the missing persons report? If this guy's fingerprints are NOT in the system how would they identify him if he showed up 100 miles away?

Above SBM:

I was thinking just that as I was driving away. If I can get back without the kids I may head back there. I was also thinking about the reward at just that point. How does that get started? I've never been involved in anything at this level and I'm only here for a few more days. But I would be willing to contribute a little toward a reward if one were offered.

I could do a little too. Probably not enough to make a difference, but I want to give something.

nosysw, I think you were right not to stop at this area, unless you have another adult with you. Im sure your instincts are good, and if you and your kids were frightened, it was probably for a good reason. And like you said, the community Kitchen and the rec center will be covered right next to this area. Please keep yourself safe above all else. Thank you for caring so much. Just wait to go into that area until you have someone else with you, please.

I wonder whether someone in administration at the motel could be able to identify the guest so le could contact him to ask him about Johnny.

She gave us his first name, Roger, though I'm sure she knows his last name. He is no longer staying there.. he has moved to "The Hill" which is a drug infested area the manager told us is not pretty. I would be totally willing to go there, we were going to go there but MissJames and I discussed it and we just don't think he's there, it is nowhere near where the sightings have been.. would be a heck of a long walk for Johnny to keep going back and forth and we both agreed he'd probably moved on from this Roger guy once he'd moved. Though, if you all want me to check it out, I will. Let me know!

I keep wondering if he's going back to the Seacrest too. I also wonder why he stopped trying to call home. His sister said when they were still here in SC he was frantically calling home.. why would he stop trying to call home? The Surfside police officer we met with said they are just following up on leads in their area. As far as verbal contact, the lady from the flea market that says she saw him said he just shook his head no when she asked if he needed help and one of the guys said he kinda just grunted.

You are doing a great job.. stay safe!! If there are places you are afraid to go but think they may be important you could text me the name or the address and I'll go there.
