There was a tip almost 2 weeks ago that someone thought they saw him at a soup kitchen in Conway .OLG went by there and put fliers up throughout that area .
Was this a more recent tip ?

A HUGE THANK YOU TO CUE !

The PD said there was one by 501 and Julie also mentioned 501.

I don't know if this link will work, but if it doesn't maybe you can figure out how to fix it for me?? (still learning)

It looks like the Big Lots on 501 behind Monica in the video I saw

I also told them that if they spotted him to stay by him while they called LE. Too many people are calling after the fact and tomorrow is one month, it's been too long.
What's scary to me is that someone might give him a ride to somewhere else and then he'll be truly lost. Please Lord, keep him in the area where people are aware and looking.

That's my biggest fear, too MNLady! Finding Johnny in Surfside is very do-able. Finding him in the county--still possible, but if he starts hitchhiking I am very VERY scared for him.

Sent to my friends in Atlanta, Douglasville and Suwanee GA. I sent all the pictures from here and Johnny's story. I sent a picture that has all the contact #'s on them. I told them to tell all of their friends and to send out a text with pics to all their friends to be on the look out for Johnny. I didn't even think to tell them to stay with Johnny until LE arrived if they see him!! I will text them now!!

Not just hot , but humid , like a thick wall .We had our family over and it was so hot by the pool we brought fans out !

The upside is that humidity creates a much better environment for the SAR dogs to pick up a scent .

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been absent today. I have been in bed almost all day with all my ills, today mostly ortho problems back and neck. I'll try to check in more often tomorrow. Monday I'm gonna get the phone book out and look under the heading of associations, and just start calling. We have great church leaders here, so I'm gonna call them, also the Baptist Association for our area. Rev. Brown is Baptist, they should be familiar with him. I'll also call the news stations in atlanta, the local news paper here, and we have 1 local radio station I will call. I was just exhausted today. I'll also check on Rev. and Mrs. Brown if the get back home, go over and see them. I'll try to do that tomorrow if they are back. I read here that Julie may be coming home too. I think that is a good idea. She has got to be just exhausted. If anyone thinks of anything else I can do from here , let me know. I'll have to do it all at the beginning of the week, as I have lipo???? for kindeys on Thursday. Can't remember the name of the procedure. I wonder if it would help for me and Julie or Rev. to ride around to the prominent business here in town asking for help? Couldn't hurt.

Nonni Brenda, you are terrific! :takeabow:
You better take care of yourself or you won't be much use to anyone. I am in awe of your energy and enthusiasm and you remain in my prayers as do all the wonderful people contributing to this thread and to the search efforts. My heart is breaking because I convinced myself that having the family there would be the magic touch to find Johnny. But, I have faith that he will be found soon, especially since it seems that everyone who hears about him is touched by the story...we just need one tip, coming from one person, who realizes they need to report it right away...It sounds like LE has taken this one under their wing and with the efforts of CUE and so many others we will have a happy ending with this one, I'm convinced...

Thanks nosysw for your very kind words. I'm not sure I have the energy it appears I have. LOL . I have had so many health problems for so many years, and I guess I just refuse to let them beat me. I usually have a big list of things I can do to help, then don't get half of them done. But I do my best. As Scarlet O'Hara said, "Tomorrow is another day." Nite Nite everyone.

This made me think- I know some folks who work at the Lowcountry Food Bank and I believe they have contact with all of the food banks along the coast- and some inland as well. They should all have flyers. They all accept walk-ins and it's possible someone advised Johnny of that. I will get on that asap.

Priority one is your health, but all of your ideas to help Johnny and his family are fantastic!!!!! They are so fortunate to have you close to them!

Nonni Brenda,

I'm in a similar position .I Have Rheumatoid Arthritis that did a lot of damage before I was finally tested for it . Now I'm immune suppressed from the medications and have had one infection after another .I wish I could do more , myself , but we've become links in a chain .
Summer Breeze started it with the info on Johnny .

I contacted OLG because I knee she was from that area.

BellyUp saw the info and gave us a sighting and a new place to look , talk to people and put up flyers in the area .

NosySw was vacationing in MB , hooked with OLG and got fliers from her .OLG hAd the fliers printed up , herself !

OLG spent a day canvasing the area and following up on a tip at the Conway Soup Kitchen.

Nosysw spent a good portion of her vacation putting up fliers .

Nonni Brenda discovered she lived close to the family and has the bulk of helping them and comforting them .

OLG and I were able to speak to every vendor at the Flea Market while putting up fliers and got one positive sighting and several probable sightings.

While there Peekerfoo called the family , then us , about her sighting in the same general area .Peekerfoo began working with the family and she was the one who contacted CUE .

We have all been links in a chain .I was so ready for more help and especially for a professional SAR group .

This is a rare Missing Person case that can have a wonderful outcome .I hope today is the day !

I don't know how one would go about this, but I sure would like to see some kind of alert system for those who are mentally challenged. They seem to fall through the cracks because they don't qualify as a Silver Alert (at least not here in SC) or anything like an Amber alert. I think they should have their own alert that covers all ages. If such a thing had been in place here maybe Johnny would be home right now.

Please, dear Lord, let this be the day.

Nonni Brenda & Miss James,
There was me thinking it was usually us Men that spent their time comparing illnesses/war wounds lol!
Make sure you all keep yourselves in working condition, when Johnny is found we will have to have a cyber party to compare symptoms
keep up the good work and thank you all for the amazing effort you are making!
