I have a three year old and he is very clear with his speech. But the words he says are usually nonsense. 3 year olds would be the worlds most unreliable witnesses.

LOL my newly turned 4 year old has had amazingly clear speech since before she was 2. She could carry on entire conversations with you and you will understand each word; however she also will tell you that a monster ate her black and white puppy and show you the "boo-boo" where a squirrel bite her while she was stung by a bee at the same time. We do not nor have we ever owned a dog and her "boo-boo" was caused by her scratching a mosquito bite. I have to take what my daughter tells me with a grain of salt.

The above article states that mom was home and awoke to find the child missing but I thought the previous articles all stated the mother was not home at the time the child disappeared?

Ok the child is 1 so was the child not sleeping in a crib of some sort? I did not move my child to a normal bed until after 18 months when she started trying to climb out of the crib. I would assume that a 1 year old that is mostly still crawling would still be sleeping in a crib type bed with rails on it to keep her from falling out during the night. If that is the case then how in the heck did anyone think she managed to get out of her crib and crawl out an open front door. If she was not asleep in a crib while mom and boyfriend were sleeping then where was she "supposed" to be? I by no means think the 3 year old should be able to get up out of bed and be unsupervised in the apartment while the adults are sleeping but we do see that often and can be somewhat understandable; however there is no justifiable reason for a 1 year old to be awake and crawling around the apartment with only a 3 year old supervising her. I cannot think of a single appropriate scenario for a 1 year old to be allowed the opportunity to crawl out of the apartment before the adults wake up. I do not believe that happened; however if it truly was the case then the mother should be charged with neglect for allowing both her 1 year old and 3 year old to be unsupervised.

They are asking us to believe a baby crawled out of an apartment and can't be found? Yeah right! When was the baby last seen by someone apart from mom and the boyfriend? Hinky meter going off big style here.

I think lots of people would notice a toddling, wobbly , solo baby wandering around at any time of day or night. There are some things we are immune to seeing. This would not be one of those things. No one saw this baby and that means to me, she was not wandering around.

I am just now reading this case. I find the premise that she crawled away for parts unknown highly unusual. I do not dispute a baby could crawl out of an open door, I just cannot conceive of one doing so in a neighborhood setting following a 3 year old sibling without the sibling or a neighbor or passerby noticing and stopping to investigate.

I am glad the waste station is getting a look. That would seem wise.

Oh, my. Lots of red flags in that interview. She *was* a sweet baby. She "doesn't care" what condition the baby is in, she just wants her back for "closure".

Two things stand out in that interview for me:
1. She talks about her daughter in the past tense, saying "she was" a lot. If that were me I would be believing my child alive until confirmed otherwise, therefore saying "she is".
2. The tilt of the head and the constant shaking side to side of it in a "no" manner. Something doesn't sit right with me there. I know it could be "no, I don't believe this is happening" but I'm not so sure that's it - to me it seems more like her head is subconsciously gesturing no to the words she is speaking (i.e. untruths)

Prepared to eat my hat if I'm wrong & hoping that the little girl is found safe & well <3

Wow, 3 minutes and 31 seconds of red flags. It's pretty clear the mother believes the baby is dead and that the boyfriend's involved. So the next question is whether or not she is too, and if so then to what extent.

It's concerning that the mother so quickly accepted that the baby is dead but I suppose it's different for everyone so I'm reserving judgement for now.

BTW, is the baby's name Leona or Leaona?

mom's plead reminds me of Delano's mom's plead for his return. the cry sounds the same, staring down or away from the camera.

The mother and boyfriend were both home when she supposedly crawled out the door. The mother has talked in past tense which is very disturbing. The mother said "she was a sweet baby" and she was asked about the door being open when she woke up and she said "I don’t want to talk about that. I just want them to bring her, that’s what I'm worried about. I want her with me. Don’t matter the condition. It would give me closure if I could see her."! What mother who is looking for their child alive would talk like that?

I have 2 children of my own. And a son from another mom (adopted).
If my boyfriend "misplaced" my child. They would have to arrest me because I would go momma bear on him. Complete with the roar and claws.
I feel as if she is covering for him. She's irritating me. She's not what a mom should be. Should act. Ugh! I hope I kept it within TOS.
I'm so tired of reading about these cases. I would take this baby in without a thought &#128532;
