Find Lillian Payne and Bring Her Home

Post shared last night by family stated Augustas Raymond Hammond was captured.
He was booked in very early this morning according to York County Jail inmate records. Search them here:
http://inmatesinjail.yorkcountygov.com/detentioncenter/inmatesinjail.aspx

When he was first picked up in York County on June 12th he was in jail until July 10th. On July 11th, he was arrested in Chester County (2 counts of receiving stolen property - 2K to 10K) and then he bailed out the following day. Same bail company.

Search court cases here SC Judicial Branch
Choose the county, accept the terms, then fill in search information.

@Jethro4WS has offered a lot of useful info on arrests records (esp dates) that I strongly agree just don’t make sense with the timeline (starting with the date missing/last seen)!

Any thoughts or input on how the woman’s body found which may come back confirmed as LP, fit into the timeline...ie: how it works, how it doesn’t work, connects to last seen date/place, LP’s arrest/date, etc?

Note: not implying the body is or is not LP

I wish there was an easier way to find all the cases/arrests across the state instead of by county but that is how SC is. At any rate, he was also arrested on July 10th out of Lancaster County for failure to register as a sex offender (3rd violation or more) but was released on a recognizance bond.

What was his reason for being “wanted” this time after getting out of jail before he was captured/arrested this last time (believe on the 27)?
His capture on July 27th was related to violating bail restrictions on the charges he was arrested on back on June 12th (larceny/grand larceny 2k-10k). If I understood the initial entries in the jail record correctly, he was tracked down by the bail bonds company and brought in. He was likely in violation of the bail for the two counts of receiving stolen property out of Chester County (arrest July 11th) and the bond out of Lancaster county for failure to register as a sex offender (arrest July 10th) as well.

Post from the find LP page:
“If your goal is to attack me and my family and defend the person suspected of murdering my niece you will be banned. If you have questions regarding inconsistencies, then ask me. Most were provided by Detective King of the YCSO. I will only say this once....my family did not have anything to do with my niece’s disappearance or murder!
We are grieving and devastated...”

Such a sad post

When a family member is murdered, you feel lost, alone, and drifting. The police are not helpful. Their focus is on catching a killer and until you are ruled out as a suspect, they wont even speak to you. Once you are ruled out as a suspect, the police still will not speak with you because they dont want to release too much information to the public. The new stations wont cover it because the police asked them not to. The coroner cannot give you definite answers such as if it is 100 percent her, when she died, or when we can have her remains. There is no counseling offered for family members and I think we all need it. No assistance whatsoever. The family waits with the public for answers and none are forthcoming. It has been almost a month since they found her and they are no closer to catching her killer. I came to the realization yesterday that they may never charge anyone with this crime. I am not sure how I am supposed to deal with that. We are broken and destroyed and I dont know how we fix that. I have never believed in capital punishment before but I do now. I know my Lilly is gone and someone took her from us. I am so grateful we found her and I thank all of you for assisting with that but there is a murderer among you and no one is safe until they make an arrest
