There seems to be a lot of spin attached to the reporting of this case. “Family Friendly” isn’ta good description of a place filled with hundreds of people at 1 AM. Especially when the owner says he closed the bar 10 months ago to make renovations to try and prevent events like this from happening.

From what little information we have, I suspect a gang-related incident with multiple shooters involved.

Gang-related shootings at bars are not rare in the Lowcountry. They usually don’t get much press and aren’t picked up on Websleuths.

I was bothered by the fact that this took place in Frogmore s Frogmore Stew is one of my favorite foods to cook for family events.

The four people who died are, Kashawn "KK" Smalls-Glaze, 22, of Beaufort; Sherrod Smalls, 33, of Beaufort; A’shan’tek Milledge, 22, of Burton; and Amos Gary, 54, of St. Helena Island, according to reports from WTOC.

A relative of two of the victims provided correct spellings of their names. They are Chiraad “Roddi” Smalls, not “Sherrod,” as previously reported by the coroner, and Kashawn “KK” Smalls-Glaze.

As of 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office had not released information about potential suspects or announced any arrests. The agency said it is investigating “persons of interest” and asked the public to contact Master Sgt. Duncan at 843-255-3418 with information.

Around a hundred people there and there isn't even a description of the vehicle?

Maybe the police are keeping that information close to the vest. I suspect they have a good idea of who did it, and this is one of those things where we won't get any information until the arrest is made public. Because it otherwise would be weird for them to not release any information at all, not even to find a suspect. But if there's already a POI in custody/being questioned, the police probably feel very confident that that's the shooter.

Victims of St. Helena Island mass shooting identified

All four were Beaufort County residents and we were told one of the victims was working security for an alumni event that had hundreds of people attending.
