A shot to neck is strange. Don't see that often... oddly enough there is a recent case of a medical student killed this way:

Paul DeWolf was found dead in his Ann Arbor, Michigan apartment last Wednesday from a single gunshot wound. Room tidy, nothing missing, gun not at scene.

I thought it was a strange place to shoot somebody too. One of the local articles I read said it was in the BACK of her neck. Then I wondered if he was aiming in a hurry or just missed where he was aiming. Was she running away or fighting him? It's all horrible to think about! Or who knows exactly where it was.

"Investigators said they believe 33-year-old Darrell Ervin Raines, Jr. and Myranda Whisenant Southern had met on a dating website called www.pof.com, which stands for Plenty of Fish, before meeting in person about one week before she disappeared.

The Laurens County Sheriff's Office says this is the first time it has dealt with a case with ties to the site. News 4 reached out to pof.com but has not heard back yet."

WOW.... this case is shocking. I was expecting the husband to be charged. Just goes to show no two cases are the same.

I don't understand her giving him access to her fb. Only thing I could see on that is if she had a unlocked (meaning password turned off) smart phone and he just opened the app. I know on my iphone when you go to the app you are automatically on my FB account.

When I read gun shot to back of neck. All I could think of was this poor lady on her knees and he shoots her.

What is wrong with ppl!!!!!!!!!!!!

He looks so normal and those eyes....what a waste

I don't understand why an estranged husband would have her login either. THAT is odd also. When my ex and I seperated. I changed all passwords and emails.

The facebook page led me to believe her estranged husband was the last person to see Myranda, so that's what added to the suspicion of him being the murderer.

Friends of "Myranda Southern" FB page says mom is in court today regarding Darrell Raines' bond hearing. How sad she has to do that. Couldn't find anything on MSM about it.
