I tried to friend you, but it said you weren't accepting friends.

:floorlaugh: No wonder my social life is down the drain! I'll fix some setting and get back to you :)

I think I will follow up the tattoo and see if I can find the tattoo artist today I was looking for.

I'm wondering if this lady could be Deborah Ann Heriford.

I came across this page,
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132443

and it reminded me of the Myrtle Beach UID.

The height is a little off and no mention of a skin tag but I suppose there could be an explanation for that.

Thanks LR1...
I went to the Charley project Link and noticed in one of the pictures they had that Deborah Ann Heriford has a a dimple in her chin - quiet prominent.
There is no mention of her having a tattoo...
I hope, for her childrens sake, that one day they find out what happened to Debbie.

Thinking of our "dolphin doe". Surely someone is missing her this holiday season.

O/T:
I'm posting a link to Heather Elvis' thread, missing from Myrtle beach since Dec 17/18, 2013, for those of you who have been researching cases in Myrtle Beach, might have some local knowledge that could be helpful in her case. She's been missing a week and her family is frantic, bless their hearts. Any help or insight is appreciated!

I'm looking here in this thread to see whom you have missing form the area, and when, in an attempt to possibly make any connections that could be helpful in Heather's case.

Thinking of our lovely Myrtle Beach Lady at this time of the year - bless her.
I hope someone comes forward looking for her soon, and that she can finally go home and be at Peace.

Thanks Margarita25 - I was on that Missing Persons thread - and came across this post which made me think the possibility of the UID (widowed) having time shares in SC

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - SC SC - Heather Elvis, 20, Myrtle Beach, 18 Dec 2013

We don't live in Myrtle Beach, but own timeshares, and go there every year for many, many years.

I wonder if the lady had a timeshare somewhere?
If she didn't take a lot of things with her and where she was staying was managed by a real estate company - possibly anything she left behind was just removed before the next person arrived? I don't know - sounds a bit improbable - but possibly it was a long term timeshare ...
I know nothing about timeshares - do they have them for 6 months of the year? or more...
:dunno:

Just thinking of any possibility.

Just curious... I didn't see any list of rule-outs on NAMUS. That would be on the first page, correct? (I scrolled through both here and on NAMUS and haven't seen mention yet of any.)

I have another possible MP suggestion, but would like to see a list of rule-outs, if one exists, first. Thanks!

came over by request to look at the tattoo: It's less than a year old and probably done at the small water side shops that attract tourists (the line work is terrible!) It's healed and vibrant, if you look.. the grey is very stabilized and the yellows (which fade the fastest) are still bright.

I bet if they had shown this tattoo around the local shops in touristy type places they would find the artist who would have on file her ID. This was done in a shop. (my guess). Most if not all are so heavily regulated that ID's and copies of are there for 1 full year along with the signed waiver and post tattoo agreement.

I'm thinking she was a tourist or recently moved to the area. I wouldn't be shocked if the tattoo is 1 month old. there's no scabbing or dryness so it's at least that old.

we just looked at her photo on her body (not the one listed here) totally changes things. She's been in the sun with it and it looks about a year old. Again, totally different ON her body than the photo here. It's duller and such, however the line work isn't muddled and the colors aren't bleeding into one another - so a year, 2 years max.

Isn't bike week that same week she's missing? She doesn't look like a biker chick and her bathing suit and outfit suggest retire (she's wearing SOCKS with her shoes) she obviously was done being in the water and redressed. I'm seriously thinking she was on vacation and had been there before, probably got the tattoo there the summer prior. Looks like a year of sun and fading. Low quality work begins to fade that way, the bleeding of colors is dependent on area and age.

I hope I'm never EVER on this website because my line work and tattoos are so well done that no one would guess they are 10 years old. No one. You get what you pay for and who does it, that's for sure.

I'm thinking she had this done costal and obviously likes being on the water and near the ocean.

How on earth was she by herself? She's far too well fed and sensibly dressed to be transient.

Someone has to be missing her :( Anyone look in the surrounding states? this is near memorial day weekend and it's possible she had just gotten there. I wonder if there were any rental cars not returned or cars with out of state plates which were towed from ocean side parking.

Do you think that tattoo is a stencil (unaltered) or a stencil which may have had a small design change to it - or is it a custom tattoo?

That's a good question. I think it's a something she picked out in a book or on the wall. It's rather basic, but there's literally no way to tell. Most things on walls or in books are from the people that already work or have worked in the shop - not purchased online or anything.

I hadn't noticed the significance of Memorial Day. Now I'm wondering whether she was a snowbird getting ready to go back north -- so her southern friends were no longer expecting to see her around, and when she didn't arrive her northern friends just figured she'd decided to stay south.

Most people start going to their destination spot around that time, if they plan to leave the day after memorial day. That gives me a longer weekend and easier travel time. I know my parents will go away 4 days before memorial day (since they have retired at least) and they will leave the night of Memorial day to avoid traffic at tollways or traffic in general. KWIM?

But here's what I'm having issues with, although I may not be so stumped if I researched this a bit lol. She was dressed from having been swimming or laying out. She had socks on and her shoes. She had a lounging type outfit on. her shoes and socks are a tad odd for someone going into the sand, which makes me think she was on a boat, because otherwise she wouldn't be wearing trainers and socks, she would be wearing flipflops or sandals of some sort.

So this leaves me with: on a boat with others and she had a heart attack or fell in and drowned (was there water in her lungs? Did she drown or was she deceased when she went in?).

She was on a dock or pier and fell in, maybe she had lost her footing and tumbled over and wasn't able to swim well for deep waters? Maybe she didn't know how to swim at all. Maybe she got caught in a tide?

I do not think she was swimming in all of those things. I do not think someone pushed her in, but I could be wrong. You would think someone would have heard a woman scream if she had been pushed in. There would likely be defensive wounds had she staved off an attacker before being pushed in.

But who on earth would be on a boat with a woman, have her fall in and not look for her? Who would abandon her?

Was there a cruise ship with many strangers aboard?
Was there a sailboat that went out with people who paid for the trip and she would go unaccounted for when they docked?

How does someone fall over and no sounds are made?

I think a boat would have to be in motion for her to fall off / out and no one hear the sound of the splash and yelling for help. And I think it would have to be some sort of party barge filled with strangers in order for her to not be listed as missing in the area. But this is someone's friend, daughter maybe an Aunt, sister or mother. Someone is missing her somewhere.

I do not know the amount of tourists who are from other countries who visit during memorial day weekend, I would think it would be rather small. I would look for people in the same state or in a state / city that is closer. Her street clothes and a change of clothes are SOMEWHERE. A hotel?

Here's a thought: if someone were to have called around the hotels surrounding the area and asked if anyone failed to check out and also left behind all of their belongings, it would have been of great help.

If someone were to have called about any cars parked at the beach that failed to pay their meter or move it after hours, with a person and other belongings inside - huge help.

her purse, money, ID, change of clothing, transportation (maybe, if she didn't take a bus), her hotel room or apartment .. are out there.
