Spelly

And The Queen also lost almost 2 lbs- only 2 more lbs to go to her goal weight. (I should be so lucky). :)

(at least she is losing- it's been a battle as she is such a beggar....)

I have never understood this . He confessed, why are they wasting time and money going over evidence - he said he did, was not coerced,

what a waste - play the confession -- chop chop move on

Good catch on the pants colors. He must have been wearing two pair, then. no glasses that I can see ... angle of camera and his floppy hairdo make it look that way. At least that is how I see it.

So i wonder. was this planning (blood?)

But in the interview he has different pants on again? with sweats underneath which is just bixzaire in terms of temperatures no??

If he planned two that night makes sense. But the next day he is doing the same thing - so that makes me wonder if he does that regularly translating to it not be planning??

some of his pics with the flag were taken a confederate gravesites - msnbcAll his representing himself is just indicative IMO of immaturity. Kinda like doing your own root canal

Yes Professor- seem like a waste to me, too.

Is a confession alone enough to convict a defendant?

"A general criminal law principle known as the corpus delicti rule provides that a confession, standing alone, isn’t enough for a conviction....

“Corpus delicti” translates to “body of the crime.” The phrase refers to the requirement that there be some kind of evidence—apart from the defendant’s statements—that establishes that someone committed a crime. In some states, the prosecution can’t even present evidence of the defendant’s confession (for example, by playing a recording of it) without this kind of corroboration...."

Dylann Roof trial: List of other churches, flags found in suspect's car

"...The Stars and Stripes and the Confederate flag, which is often considered a symbol for segregation, further support prosecutors' claims that Roof was moved to violence by race -- a key component for hate crimes under the federal statute....

Police also allegedly recovered a note from Roof's vehicle in which the suspect apologized to his family for the negative attention the case would bring..."

Dylann Roof had outlined racist views on website prior to church shooting

"Dylann Storm Roof apparently outlined his racist views on a website filled with hate group symbolism and personal photographs showing him with a .45-caliber handgun that might be the one used in the mass shooting at Emanuel AME Church.

The site — lastrhodesian.com — includes a nearly 2,500-word diatribe against African-Americans, Jews and Hispanics in which the author says he chose Charleston for his killing spree “because it is the most historic city in my state, and at one time had the highest ratio of blacks to whites in the country.”

The author claims to be inspired by a national “white rights” group that opposes the mixing of the races. A key leader of that group, Kyle Rogers, lives in Summerville. Rogers could not be reached by phone Saturday for comment, and two address listings for him were for a strip mall and a UPS store. His once prolific Twitter feed has been shut down..."

SLED analysts: Dylann Roof's prints found on gun that killed nine at Emanuel AME Church

"Federal prosecutors have spent much of Monday connecting the dots among a pile of evidence submitted in Dylann Roof's federal hate crimes trial, linking the white supremacist to a racist online manifesto and a .45-caliber pistol used to kill nine parishioners at Emanuel AME Church in June 2015...."

Accused Charleston killer Dylann Roof was staying with friends in a mobile home park in Red Bank, SC in the weeks before the massacre

Roof slept on cushions thrown on the floor and spent his days drinking and playing video games

asked for the Glock .45-caliber model 41 - which had a laser sighting on it - from his father for his 21st birthday in April because he was small and ‘didn’t feel that he could fight back’.
Friends also revealed that two days before the massacre Dylann showed them a bag stuffed with magazines of bullets he would use in the shooting and said: ‘Look at all my magazines!’

Humm fits the confession reaction to photos They also thought that Dylann had a tripod for his camera, which he borrowed off his mother, and that he liked to take his own pictures, though he did not like anyone taking his.

Look at what T shirt says --not him but still not really all that charming!

Here is step father

Prosecution calls Brittany Burke back to the stand. She's the SLED investigator.

Chad K. Mills ‏@ChadKMills 5m5 minutes ago
Right now, she's explaining how she searched the inside of Roof's car.

Leave it to the 'defense' lawyer to ignore this little tidbit:

https://mgtvwjbf.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/sled-documents.pdf
SLED Laboratory Forensics Report
pg 156 of 161
"The dirver's side door was secured with evidence tape. The evidence tape on the top of the driver's door was broken but all other pieces were intact."

So the evidence seal was broken. Which certainly indicates the chain of possession was broken; the implication being that someone entered the vehicle from the time the seal was put on in Shelby, NC to when it was brought to Charleston. To plant or remove evidence? Right away Roof's attorney should have challenged the admissibility of everything found in that car by the SLED people.

And why was virtually the entire SLED Forensics Report redacted (blacked out)?

------------------

And more on the stolen license plate on the car Roof was driving:

https://mgtvwjbf.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/shelby-police-department-report.pdf
Shelby Police Report
pg9of22
"(Ofc) Bernat then ran the vehicle registration plates through dispatch, and the same came back on a 1995 Mazda, but however the same was displayed on a Hyundai."

Huh? One plate number for two South Carolina vehicles? Now I'm confused.

Deciphering A Killer! Dylann Storm Roof’s Prison Letter Gives Clues Into Tragic Church Massacre, Says Expert – ‘Shows Aggression In Writing’
http://radaronline.com/celebrity-ne...gives-clues-into-church-massacre-says-expert/

I know this is from Radar Online, but very interesting article.

“The first thing that stands out to me in the two page letter is that it is looks like the writing of an eight-year-old, not a 21-year-old,” says the founder Southern Handwriting Expert Steve W. Davis .

“This would seem to indicate a lack of education, or lack of applying knowledge.”

Figure. Roof's handwriting indicates he is immature.

“He is prone to mood swings, and is completely unpredictable. He may have some violent tendencies. He lacks any physical drive or leadership capabilities. Because of this, he is usually a follower at best,” Davis believes.

I am not surprised that he is very volatile.

He's such a pathetic coward. He wanted to do something but didn't have the means to "go into the ghetto and fight but had to do something" ... so he scouted out predominantly African American churches with rich histories, where people would be unassuming and welcoming of him and waited until they closed their eyes to pray before firing his weapon. He told the FBI he didn't "like to say it" in reference to the people he murdered in cold blood, and just as he predicted in that same interview, he can't even look at the people he attacked in the courtroom. He should be forced to look them in the eye but instead he just sits there and stares at the table the whole time... like the no-gonad having SOB that he is.

More on the gun purchase .... the denial finally came ..... AFTER the murders.

..without a formal denial from federal officials, firearms dealers can legally complete sales to customers after the three-day waiting period expires.

...with a felony drug charge on his record from March 2015, should never have been allowed to purchase the weapon, FBI Director James Comey...

Roof's March arrest on felony drug charges was mistakenly attributed to the Lexington County, S.C., Sheriff's Department, not Columbia police. The Lexington County Sheriff's Department operates the jail where Roof had been detained

However, in a first for Thrailkill, the Shooter’s Choice manager testified he received a phone call from a NICS investigator on June 29, 2015. That call came more than two months after Roof’s gun purchase. He was told to deny the purchase.

The notification came 12 days after the Mother Emanuel shootings. As is typical of a NICS denial of a gun purchase, Thrailkill said he was not told a reason.

Nah were not a mess. Missed inspections, cops inside, CPS inside, gun laws that don't work

I think the landlord being aware of of the hole in wall for elec means jail bars are awaiting.

She'll file ch 7 bankruptcy, no one will get a penny, 250,000 people across America will be homeless in winter, everyone will pass a bunch of laws that noone can implement due to budget stuff, and congress is off for a month long break , after a three-week break, which just came off of noone being in Washington cause of the election which followed their spring recess - go congress!

[FONT=&amp]One of the primary arguments against the $174,000 base salary for members of Congress is the relatively few number of days they spend debating legislation. The House of Representatives has averaged 137 "legislative days" a year since 2001, for example. The number of voting days represents about one day of work every three days, or fewer than three days a week.

Until we get term limits on congress on and on it shall go IMO

I can't really decide what I think was his motivation. He had black friends when growing up (I've seen them speak about it on tv) , at one point he said he almost decided not to do it because the people were so nice to him. He spoke openly and quickly to police when caught. He doesn't necessarily seem too bright, his affect is off.
I'm also not trying to say he is insane or should be let off of this crime. He did it, he needs to pay for it.
I wonder if he met up with someone online, like the kids that run off to join ISIS, and they talked him into it, making him feel like he'd be doing something that 'somebody' had to do, and become famous, or infamous for doing it.
I can't decide. Is he just a loser, a loner, a drug user, unemployed person who had no aim in life and somehow found this one? I did think he wanted to represent himself to further his cause, now I'm not even sure if he really has a cause.
If I was on the jury, he's guilty, but is he too nutty for the DP? I would like to hear all the evidence in person. Even if they give him the DP, we haven't killed anyone since 2011, so will it ever happen anyway?
I would like to hear from him in 10 years, after he's grown up a little, and what he has to say then. If he gets the DP, he won't be killed by then.
ALL MOO only

How can you say all this after reading his manifesto? His words were crystal clear.

Yeah, he seems immature. But he put a lot of time and energy into "researching" and developing his racist ideology. (And he was definitely influenced by racist propaganda. No critical thinking skills in this one.)

Not sure if they are accurate ??

....handwritten letter to his prison pen pal could reveal dark secrets of the 21-year-old a leading handwriting analysis :
“The first thing that stands out to me in the two page letter is that it is looks like the writing of an eight-year-old, not a 21-year-old,” says the founder Southern Handwriting Expert Steve W. Davis .

“This would seem to indicate a lack of education, or lack of applying knowledge.”
“The letter is almost entirely written in the middle zone with large writing,” says Davis. “This is typically found in people that live for the moment and don’t like to plan ahead.” ( he was ambivalent throughout the confession about why he chose that day)

“his cramped and packed style shows a person with a lot going on in life. (that is an understatement !)
“The writer lacks any intellectual depth, and dislikes learning. He has low self-esteem and constantly finds fault with himself,”
“He is prone to mood swings, and is completely unpredictable. He may have some violent tendencies.

is usually a follower at best,” (described that way).

“The variable slants that are seen throughout this letter are common with people

The head and the heart (there were definitely times when he did display some feeling - does not want to talk with family survivors, an awareness that his parents are hurt, wtc etc)variable slants is subject to unpredictable mood swings.”

letter suggests a lot about his relationship with his family.
