I am not a conspiracy theorist so IMO, DSR was not sophisticated enough to cover up his crime and IMO he expected to be caught.

One thing that I suspect is that there are lots of people that just don't know how they can be tracked, from using their discount cards for purchases, to writing a check, to using their bank cards (atm) to having an ezpass, to newer vehicles w/tracking, including onstar. Almost all car rentals will only rent cars with CC, and there vehicles have tracking.There are security cameras all over the place. Your phone, (cell) can track your movements.It's very hard to move around and not be detected.

I can not get out of the city I am in without being detected. Everything he did on line, sites visited and purchases made they know.

I used to work for a company that did work for the gov, it amazed me then what was being done, 30 years ago. I can not imagine what is being done today.

Everyone in this country is being tracked. It's my opinion, but it's happening.

Dylann Roof declines to testify in own defense in federal hates crimes trial

"After gunning down nine worshipers gathered for Emanuel AME Church's Bible study, after pacing around the tables where they had tried to hide, Dylann Roof strolled toward a retired nurse cowering beneath one, praying aloud. He told Polly Sheppard that he was going to let her live so that she could tell the story of what he'd done.

Today, Sheppard did just that....

Assuming Roof is convicted of crimes that carry a death penalty punishment, the sentencing phase of the trial will begin on Jan. 3, giving the victims' loved ones and jurors time to rest and visit family over the winter holidays...

Wow, the strength survivors show never ceases to amaze me. God bless all the victims in this case, and I actually hate the word victim, as those who have lived with the pain of all this are truly VICTORS!

One thing that I suspect is that there are lots of people that just don't know how they can be tracked, from using their discount cards for purchases, to writing a check, to using their bank cards (atm) to having an ezpass, to newer vehicles w/tracking, including onstar. Almost all car rentals will only rent cars with CC, and there vehicles have tracking.There are security cameras all over the place. Your phone, (cell) can track your movements.It's very hard to move around and not be detected.

I can not get out of the city I am in without being detected. Everything he did on line, sites visited and purchases made they know.

I used to work for a company that did work for the gov, it amazed me then what was being done, 30 years ago. I can not imagine what is being done today.

Everyone in this country is being tracked. It's my opinion, but it's happening.

BBM Yes I agree that we are tracked everywhere we go , but , IMO, if we are doing nothing wrong/criminal, it doesn't matter in the long run. I know I have nothing to worry about. If they want to take pics of me, I feel sorry for anyone looking at the pics. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: (and if anyone cares to "look" at my life's "transactions", they would certainly be bored :facepalm:..)

It's not a secret.. :secret: ..that we are "looked" at wherever we go, IMO. I think, in the world as it is now, it's a good thing. When some people do things that are not right, it makes things easier for the authorities to put these people away and make us safer- lots of indisputable evidence.

Debbie Dills spotted Roof and followed his car for @35 miles until the arrest was made. She had called her boss at Frady Florist at 10:32 am and asked advice, he called a law enforcement friend who contacted the Shelby police (area where Ms. Dills currently was passing). An arrest was made within 20 minutes. I can not find the link I saw earlier, but it said Ms. Dills had remained in contact with law during the time of following until arrest made. She may have actually been in touch with her boss who was relaying info on a second phone, or she may have managed to make contact herself.



The Shelby Police Department received a call from the Kings Mountain Police Department at 10:32 a.m. about the possible sighting.
At 10:43 a.m., officers spotted Roof’s vehicle on Dixon Boulevard. He was pulled over at 10:44 a.m. Roof was the only person in the car. He was taken into custody at 10:49 a.m. and taken to the Shelby Police Department.

Another man called 911 after spotting Roof by his haircut.
