According to our sources, a dive team search taking place on Tuesday afternoon near Varnville, S.C. – a stone’s throw from the home of the late Randolph Murdaugh III – is tied to the ongoing ‘Murdaugh Murders’ crime and corruption saga.

In fact, the search – which encompasses a stretch of the Coosawhatchie River near Varnville – is specifically tied to the graphic slayings of 52-year-old Maggie Murdaugh, Alex’s wife, and the couple’s younger son, 22-year-old Paul Murdaugh.

“Dive teams are in the water,” one witness told me.

Murdaugh has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in connection with the killings.
Interesting that this spot on river has just now become interesting to SLED. They searched the river down near Moselle soon after the murders. Wonder if someone is talking?

So the fits article says that the dive team is searching the water near Alex dad's house, which is some distance from moselle.

"The State" reported that Maggie's phone was found on the road close to Moselle.

So logically, the phone must have been thrown out a car window either prior to Alex traveling to his father's property (most likely), or upon his return (highly unlikely imo).

Sources told the outlet that Paul Murdaugh's phone was found near his body on the night of the June 7 murders but South Carolina Law Enforcement Division detectives on scene had trouble finding Maggie's phone right away. When a family member used their phone's location accessory the next day, they were able to locate her phone on the roadside nearby.
I wonder if he didn't leave it on the hood or the roof of his car by accident

Would information from the vehicle AM was driving ( or the watch or the phone) be able to indicate a stop or long pause on the bridge which would be when he throws the gun into the river

His alleged killer? Fifty-four year old disbarred attorney Alex Murdaugh – his father and the owner of the boat that crashed. Of interest? On the week he allegedly murdered his son and his wife, 52-year-old Maggie Murdaugh, Alex Murdaugh was scheduled to appear in court in connection with the boat crash case.

At that hearing, he was likely to have been compelled to turn over information regarding his finances – which were under investigation at the time by a statewide grand jury. Alex Murdaugh was also under investigation by a statewide grand jury for allegedly obstructing justice in the aftermath of the boat crash.

Thursday’s hearing in this case will be held in Lancaster, S.C. at 2:00 p.m. EDT before S.C. circuit court judge Daniel Hall.

FITSNews Statement JUST released on production of evidence in #MurdaughMurders double homicide case from Dick Harpootlian and Jim Griffin:

Yesterday late afternoon the defense team
for Alex Murdaugh received an Order issued
by Judge Clifton Newman compelling the
State to comply with their discovery
requirements and make those materials
available to us immediately.
While some of the materials are to be
temporarily under a protective order the
prosecuting attorney told our team last
night we should receive materials early this
morning.
We look forward to reviewing the State's
materials and allegations immediately so we
can continue to build a defense for our
client so we're ready for trial in less than six
months.

STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA
COUNTY OF HAMPTON
) IN THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS ) FOURTEENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
) CASE NO.: 2019-CP-25-00111
RENEE S. BEACH, as Personal )
Representative of the Estate of ) MALLORY BEACH, ) ) Plaintiff, ) )
v.
) PLAINTIFF’S MEMORANDUM IN
) OPPOSITION TO MOTION TO SEVER GREGORY M. PARKER, INC. d/b/a )
PARKER’S CORPORATION, ) RICHARD ALEXANDER MURDAUGH, ) RICHARD ALEXANDER MURDAUGH, )
JR., JOHN MARVIN MURDAUGH, AS P.R. OF THE ESTATE OF MARGARET KENNEDY BRANSTETTER MURDAUGH, AND RANDOLPH MURDAUGH, IV, AS P.R. OF THE ESTATE OF PAUL TERRY MURDAUGH,
Defendant) ) ) ) ) ) ) )

<snipped>

In this motion to sever, Greg Parker incredulously continues to demonstrate his callous indifference to the suffering of the Beach family, this time by attempting to burden them with two trials in which they will be forced to endure and relive the horrific events of their daughter’s death and the unbearable recounting of the week-long search for her body. No family should have to deal with such despicable acts in seeking justice for the death of their daughter. For the reasons set forth below, Plaintiff respectfully requests an Order from this Court denying Parker’s motion to sever.

Maybe Cousin Eddie is talking? But it being so close to AM's dads home and he admits to being there that night, I'd say it was AM who tossed it.

Where they were searching is on 278 and there are 2 bridges not far apart. However, looking at the utility poles location on the photo reported on FitNews, I believe this is the bridge location they were searching. There is not much going on in this area. I would think they would have had information to lead them to believe this area is of interest. Digital? Phone, watch, vehicle, etc...Cousin Eddie?

Here is a Google Earth link- ETA- It's the Coosawhatchie River

Here is a Google Earth link- Fair amount of water but certainly not like a river or even a lake.

It actually is the Coosawhatchie River. The water is moving so slow it seems like a swamp.

Probably right, I noticed a can of what appears to be a can of bug spray on the bridge next to the guy with his foot on bridge.

You are correct and I'm not sure why I even posted that as using the Coosawhatchie was part of locating it. Need more coffee

Murdaugh lawyers expect to receive discovery material Wednesday

Harpootlian and Griffin said that while some of the evidence would be under a temporary protective order that the state informed them they should receive the evidence early Wednesday morning.

Newman ordered the state to hand over its discovery evidence on Monday but also granted the state’s request for a temporary protective order.

“It would be improper for there not to be some restrictions placed,” Newman said on Monday.

More details on the search yesterday, and it includes an interesting nugget:

The search site is also located less than a mile away from four massive tracts of land owned by Murdaugh’s brother, John Marvin Murdaugh. In fact, John Marvin Murdaugh accompanied SLED agents on their search of the river – along with two of his longtime friends from Hampton, S.C.

This is at least the second time during the course of this investigation Murdaugh has accompanied law enforcement agents on searches related to the double homicide inquiry.

I just want to know how Alex's brother has information that can help the investigation, and why it's occurring now as opposed to months ago.

I think this quote from your previous post is important. "This is at least the second time during the course of this investigation Murdaugh has accompanied law enforcement agents on searches related to the double homicide inquiry".
He has, and never has had, any business being out with SLED doing ANYTHING!

It's just so backwoods shady from the get-go. Who knows why NOW they're out there. Maybe he's realizing the house of cards is coming down and is wanting to cooperate....or maybe he didn't give SLED any info and they are just out there on their own volition and he wants to "be involved" in whatever evidence they find. He should be nowhere near any area being searched. IMO of course.

.....and both Alex and his bro accompany SLED in their investigation of this new info....Is there anything that is not fishy about this case.
