Murdaugh Murders: Son's Snapchat, Google Data is 'Critical' Evidence in Alex Murdaugh Case

Law&Crime Network

I asked a tech associate about Google's response to the state's search warrant that no devices with google location data being stored by google were present at the time of the double murder.

The response I got from my friend was that all three Murdaugh's (AM, MM, & PM) probably have iPhones using Apple map which if you have an Apple watch is likely the default location map on your iPhone.

I guess the Google rep subpoenaed to testify will answer this question soon enough. MOO

I have this queued up to wear DH is arguing AM can have no motive, and AM gets very expressive there. Right after this is where the judge says they are making jury arguments.

So when doesn't DH exaggerate?!

He's such a drama queen... I just can't even....

Does AM have some sort of ‘out of sight-out of mind’ notion that he isn’t going to look like a prisoner if he covers up his cuffs??
I’ve seen this before, though I can’t recall which Defendants. I’m fairly certain they were businessmen or Mafia bosses.

Post reminded me of this.

It wasn’t until the next day, Tuesday, June 8, that a family member using his cell phone’s ability to “ping” Maggie Murdaugh’s cell phone found the phone on his digital cell phone map, sources said.

Yes, I believe it was Buster that had an app that allowed him to find her phone.

It was John Murdaugh

In his interview with the Packet, John Marvin explained what was happening in the photos with Stone’s investigators.

It’s simple, he said. He was helping them — “them” being Alex Murdaugh’s colleagues who had no reason to be on the scene as opposed to SLED, who had assumed jurisdiction over the case the night before.

Paul’s phone was found by his body, but Maggie’s phone was missing.

John Marvin helped them find it.

ETA @girlhasnoname sorry you are right, it was Buster’s phone that John had.

JG mentioned yesterday during interchange with SLED Agent Greer that Paul’s gun, which is same type as murder weapon, was stolen. That’s apparently the first time it’s been stated the missing gun was stolen.

ABC’s Anne Emerson is offering a daily recap with former S.C. AG Charlie Condon on her Unsolved South Carolina podcast “The Murdaughs: Murders, Money & Mystery.” The missing/stolen gun is discussed in the Jan. 2 podcast.

Here's another option to watch live.

Live: Alex Murdaugh murder trial livestream - Day 3 January 25

47 jurors were called during role call today in #AlexMurdaugh trial. The judge called out three of those jurors and asked to meet in the back. That's where things stand right now. They are choosing 18 jurors today. (6 will be alternates)

They came back on the record and continued role call. 125 jurors there today. Judge excused two, so now they start with 123.

I thought Ms. Satterfield had two sons? Noticed only one son is on the list. moo
She does have 2 surviving sons, I think one has learning challenges, perhaps that's why is not being called to the stand.

The lawyers on both sides have asked for 15 minutes to ponder the list of remaining jurors. So we are recessing for 15 minutes.

Through random selection, the group of prospective jurors was just whittled down to 80 from 122. The 42 seemed more than eager to leave.

I thought the money/fraud issues where not allowed at the murder trial?

If that’s true why would Gloria’s son be on list.?

Judge ruled he would not decide on this issue before the trial started. Judge will rule on it if/when prosecution tries to introduce evidence of financial motive for the murders during the trial. Starting at about 10:00 here.

Although still a few alternates left, I am amazed that they were able to seat a jury for this trial so quickly.

Jury seating is complete. The defense struck five prospective jurors, by my count. The state struck three.
