I can't watch but the tic tac thing makes me wonder if he just reeks of arrogance in the courtroom. Like, he knows the ins and outs of a courtroom and where the lines are. He can get away with tic tacs etc... Is that how it reads on the screen at all?

Sgt Green testifies that there was a phone lying on top of PM's body, near his back pockets.
Wasn’t it reported that Paul’s phone was in his back pocket, but AM took it out & placed it on him or near him?

There appear to be several empty rows at the back of the gallery, I am a bit surprised the courtroom is not packed to capacity!

Any of Maggie's family there, if you know

wonder if he tampered with it

Will the Murdaugh family still be influential after all of this has happened??

In the middle of a being questioned by a detective he stops to do a meet and greet with someone passing by. As I mentioned he seemed to be using a mental cheat sheet and got distracted for a moment, speaks volumes.
Deputy: “What is Paul’s birthdate?”
AM: “April….hey, how you doing?” (to a guy walking past)
Deputy: “what is his birthdate?”

WHAT? How ya doing? I didn’t catch that when they first played it. Glad the prosecutor asked it to be replayed.

AM is a very disturbed human being. I wonder if he was always the bad sheep of his family. Is that where Paul got his sketchy character from?

Graphic: Court documents reveal new details in Murdaugh murders

"According to the report, a cell phone in Paul Murdaugh’s back pocket had been removed and a blood stain was found inside the pocket. Kinsey said he believes the phone was taken out of Paul’s pocket by someone else after he was killed and the blood stain was produced during its retrieval."

This was all I could find about the phone being taken out of PM's pocket @BUF - but I do want to say I remember something about AM being the one that had taken it out of his pocket MOO

DH accusing Sgt Green of not returning multiple phone calls DH's office had made to him.

  • #511
DH suggests to Sgt Green that the water surrounding PM's body is from a dog pen being washed out prior to the shooting.

  • #512
DH once again saying that PM's brains were all over the ceiling.

DH accusing Sgt Green of not returning multiple phone calls DH's office had made to him.

While he's processing a crime scene, he doesn't need to talk to DH. Odd thing to object to. DH calling the officer himself seems slightly suspicious.

… I thought I saw AM ‘s face light up when… Sgt Green said they moved Paul’s body to see if a gun was under him. Sgt Green then said the purpose for this was to determine if Paul shot Maggie, then himself.
(Murder, suicide)
Lordy & I’ll be darn if the defense is not leading with that very thing NOW!

MOO

Defense is spending a lot of time questioning Sgt Green about some tire tracks on scene and whether or not he pointed them out to SLED investigators.

Are prospective witnesses...Buster, etc allowed to be in courtroom while others are testifying?? Not allowed many places. I haven't seen DH perform before, only know him from reading and seeing some video clips. Is he as sharp as they have said he is?? He seems like a doddering old man. He gets in CW space, doesn't he??
I thought they were only allowed to sit in on opening arguments not the entire hearing. Who knows in this case??

Poot may need to hire a technical assistant…

The delay caused by DH when trying to replay the body cam footage during cross is ridiculous! They look so ill prepared and unprofessional.

I dont know about the rest of you, but this defense atty is annoying me
He cant get video to play
He just needs to get to the point and/or questions for the witness.
AM is taking his own notes LOL

I am surprised court room is not packed full.

Now talking about tire tracks, foot prints etc.
They all let AM's brothers enter and walk around the crime scene.

Oh--and the "how you doing" from AM-to someone walking by-- during being questioned at the crime scene when asked what Paul, His son's, Birthday is. OMG
