I am watching a recap with a Criminal atty & former prosecutor, a Law & Crime reporter that is there at the court house and 2 other reporters

They are as flabbergasted as I am that
1. AM is shaking hands, talking to , acknowledging family, friends, whoever he wants to. The 4 I am listening to all said that is NOT acceptable and normally not Allowed...they are theorizing that he is able to do so BECAUSE ....
HE IS A. MURDAUGH *!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-- THIS IS SO WRONG, IMO

2. IF Buster (and others) are indeed to be put on the stand as witnesses, they should NOT be in the courtroom. Nada, No way, Period.
(The 2 attorneys that are recapping this morning's hearing are shocked about this also !!!!)

3.- AM and his rocking back & forth (today & yesterday) and chomping
on tic tacs (yesterday) looks ridiculous

4. Another former prosecutor that is recapping said the fake crying, sniffling , wiping his nose, from AM is all STAGE ACTING ( which we all pretty much surmised already) Plus the defense atty constantly talking back & forth with AM is rude and trying to distract. --

5. Connor Cook's attorney is in the court room !!

Ahh-- Court room theatrics in full bloom but hopefully the jury will remember WHY they are there--- for MARGARET & PAUL MURDAUGH-- and hopefully, in the future, for the others that fell victim to this horrible human being.

Watching Law & Crime and someone just brought up why are witnesses sitting in the courtroom listening to other witnesses testify. I know yesterday I saw JMM and Buster there. Buster is back there today. The LE that testified were also sitting in courtroom when called.

I was just watching that too. Very odd because I'm pretty sure JMM will have to testify for the prosecution to be able to enter MM's phone into evidence. He was the one walking with LE searching for it on that phone app.

Wonder if mention will be made of AM feeling safe/not worried while he waited for LE on the night of the murders? (Kind of like the earlier mention of the rest of the Murdaughs being out & about, not seeming to fear for their lives, if indeed there is a killer on the loose.)

I am stunned that potential witnesses are allowed to be in the courtroom. Are they angling for a mistrial?

Poot isn’t very impressive — I can’t decide if he *has* lost it, or if he actualLy isn’t giving it his all, or if coming off as a sort of Columbo character is part of his strategy.

Everything I know about him is he loves the sport of a trial and has a huge ego, but maybe this is even too gruesome and horrendous for him.

While I find it strange that potential witnesses are allowed in the courtroom, I guess I can also rationalize it with the fact that all of this is being televised. So, even if they weren't allowed, they could easily watch all the testimony, plus hear plenty of analysis & opinions. Maybe in that way, it's better for them to hear it live & draw their own conclusions?

Still it's odd. But maybe reflective of the norm of easy virtual access pretty much 24/7.

I guess DH doesn't think the jury is smart enough to know what "foot coverings" would mean. "baggy things" seems rather condescending to me. In fact, the whole "just a good ole boy I'm one of you" speech and mannerisms would not go over very well with me. jmo
