AM is told by the 911 Dispatcher on the recording of the call not to get a gun so he doesn't have one when first responders arrive on the scene. You can then hear AM say that PM has been threatened recently. (Of course we know from earlier testimony today, AM had a shotgun when LE first arrived on the scene).
So he defied the 911 agent.
Sounds about right.

Captain Chapman testifies that during a phone call with the Coleton County Sheriff en route to the crime scene that if the 911 caller was AM SLED would need to be called because of the conflict of interest between local LE and the Murdaugh family.

Chapman requested tents to cover Maggie's and Paul's bodies.

As he arrived he noticed the immediate scene around the kennels appeared secure.

It's clear that Chapman has experience with testifying in court cases (has been called as an Expert Witness in General Police Procedure in a prior Federal court case) - it will be interesting to see DH's approach on cross.

Chapman was beginning investigative procedures. Sheets had been placed over both victims by the time he got there. Not standard, noticed several shell casing of different caliber.

Chapman did not have his vest and body camera on.

Chapman also asked to testify about the water around PM's body - states there was enough water to call it "standing water", but that it had not rained enough at that point to explain the water.

I can't watch but the tic tac thing makes me wonder if he just reeks of arrogance in the courtroom. Like, he knows the ins and outs of a courtroom and where the lines are. He can get away with tic tacs etc... Is that how it reads on the screen at all?
Doesn't really mean much to me. Johnny Depp ate candy during the trial and that didn't bother me either.

Fact but as I see doesn't effect the fact's of what and who are laying there at the crime scene. Guess he wasn't thinking about personal safety which can be a fatal mistake. I felt as though defense was trying to draw the jury away from fact's due to an officers forgetfulness to strap on his vest.

Chapman testifies he saw PM's phone lying on top of his body and that he was present when the phone was removed and bagged for evidence.

Why was Paul's cellphone laying on his back? That seems odd. Paul fell with hands under him, the phone did not have blood or water when collected.

Agreed, I'm glad the State is addressing it ahead of time.
