My opinion... AM wants to give the impression he is crying hearing the voices of his wife and son... Actually, he is crying for himself... The act is tired.

Enter spin-doctor defense...

100% think that the Defense is trying to distract the jury from what they just heard on the Snapchat video. This cross isn't really doing anything to help their case. MOO.

ETA: Once again they (the Defense) don't seem prepared even with their own line of questioning.

Alex crying and bobbing as the dog video is played. JMO.
I imagine it's because he knows his goose is cooked! The fact that his very distinctive voice can be heard on the video is damning material IMO.

I heard Judge Ashley W. on Court TV yesterday say that the Jurors can ask the Judge for a notepad but so far none had !

I hope they do because Harpootlian causes confusion and intimidation on purpose. That’s his primary tool and it works.

Ha! Just saw DH nudge AM - to which AM responded with rocking and crying.

ETA: At roughly 12:27 PM ET on Law & Crime stream.

IMO, the defeat is evident on AM's face. He still hasn't recovered from the video. moo
I agree. The shaking of his head in the affermative when his voice is heard makes me think that HE knows that THEY (the jury) know he was there.

What is wrong with this guy?
The point of the video is not what is said but the fact it destroys AM’s alibi about not being at the kennels at that time.
It puts AM at the scene and at the time of the crime. He either did it or saw it happen.

I also commented about not being able hear it very well. I agree with you that it does put AM at the scene but IMO to hear their tone(s) while they talk to each other could be important too. I'm thinking along the lines were PM and MM happy go lucky, chit chatting and AM walks up the mood changes, everyone's quiet or he walks up screaming and yelling at them. Hopefully that makes sense! I'm trying to listen and type.

Now we may have the reason AM was fiddling with his son's phone after the murder, knowing that he's on the vid even if just audio.

Underwhelming audio of the Snapchat IMO although I believe I hear AM. They’ll probably just say it wasn’t him.

ETA: listened again from what I recorded from the trial. I hear AM. But will the jury have the benefit of being able to rehear and study the video/audio??

Sounds like AM says - "come here Paul, come here Paul" in that audio played?

Interesting AG Wilson is sitting at prosecution table today…same day as this video placing AM at the kennels was to be admitted

Does anyone remember testimony on whether Bluetooth was turned on in Maggie's settings ? Is it possible Maggie's bluetooth was off but Paul's phone could not be unlocked so his phone was left behind to prevent it from connecting to AM's truck ?

Loving how the Defense is trying to trip the cell phone data expert up and he's not having it...trying to get him to speculate what would occur if someone threw MM's cell phone out on the side of the road.

Edited: wording

Agreed. It totally destroyed AM's alibi. Imo, he was at the scene. We all know writing can be challenging at times for even a professional, learned by an amateur (me!). My best practice is take it with a grain of salt.

100%. Well said. imo.

An attorney commented on AM crying. He said that AM knows if it doesn’t help him win the case, that it can sometimes help the sentence being easier. So he’s trying for both.

Just peeked in on this trial, and I just gotta say, WOW! I'm completely new to this case/trial as of a week ago. I have heard the name Murdaugh, but other than that had no idea what the case was about. Until two nights ago. My s/o started telling me about it and asked if I was following it. I'm just catching up, and, Wow. In trying to keep it straight, I just jotted this down.

May all of the victims rest in peace, and may Lady Justice be blind.

AM is charged with the murders of his youngest son, PM, and his wife, MM, he has more than 90 additional charges. This case resulted in opening investigations into three other deaths.

07-08-2015; Stephen Smith is found dead, on the road.
02-26-2018; Gloria Satterfield, 57, died after a trip and fall accident at the Murdaugh family home
02-24-2019; PM wrecks boat, Mallory Beach dies.
O6-07-2021 PM and his mother MM, are murdered. At about 10 p.m. AM makes a call to 911. His wife, and youngest son, had been shot at their estate.
09-04-2021; AM shot in head (admitted it was a scheme w/a former client)
09-07-2021; AM resigns from the family law firm. Enters drug treatment.
10-14-2021; AM arrested, and charged, after leaving drug treatment, on suspicion of misappropriating the Satterfield settlement funds ($4.3 mil.)

The jury is made up of eight women and four men from occupations such as retail, medicine, construction, and education.
