On an iPhone it’s in the settings, first landing page.
I Google it. Can't you swipe from the bottom or top and see your icons? I think you can.

So Alex claims he was napping, woke up and the house was empty. He assumes Maggie is at the kennels with Paul. He is unsuccessful reaching Maggie via 2 calls, he texts that he is going to visit his mom. He wants everyone to believe that he took the time to make 2 phone calls and send a text but can't be bothered to drive down to the kennels on his way out of Moselle to tell Maggie in person or ask if she wants to join him ?

I have an iPhone but it has to be unlocked in order to change to airplane mode, right? My understanding is her phone wasn't unlocked.

Really? Wow! Wonder what kind of phone she had.

In the Union-Bulletin article dated Jan. 23, 2023, the following is attributed to a Defense motion to exclude testimony regarding the .300 blackhot shell casings found on the property.
"Maggie, 52, had five distinct gunshot wounds, the report says. A gunshot wound to the left side of her torso and head include injuries to her left breast, lower jaw, ear, skull and brain. Other injuries were identified to Maggie’s left wrist, left thigh, her upper abdomen through the lower back, and a downward-trajectory shot to the right back of Maggie’s head, injuring the skull, brain stem, cerebellum and the right side of her upper back."

If Maggie was first shot in the left wrist, left thigh and upper abdomen through the lower back and she was still upright or had fell to the ground - if the phone was in her right hand could she have been conscious enough to hold the phone up for face recognition to unlock it ?
So I’ve always wondered the trajectory of the gunshots. By this. Does it seem she was facing the killer while face first on the ground as the bullets entered her head for the two fatal shots? The shell casings found seem to show the killer was on the right side as she lay on the ground? shooting her from the side? It’s one of the only things I still can’t seem to grasp. Did her body move after being shot on the ground?

I just did it myself. Yes you can put it in airplane mode while it's a locked screen.
After I saw this, I took it a step further to make sure it would work even if you didn’t have facial recognition unlocking capabilities. I gave my iPhone 11 - same as she had - to my non-iPhone owning husband while it was locked and gave him instructions to swipe diagonally down to the center from the top right corner and click the airplane. It does indeed work.

Confirming that this also worked for me on my iphone 11.

I feel bad for the gun builder who is related to AM. He seems uncomfortable but he is doing the right thing coming and stating the truth. Seems caught in the middle but I hope not.

That is a great point. Probably wouldn’t have taken very long at all.

This is where mine is. I have to unlock mine to get to the settings.

But he had to unlock it first right? I wouldn’t want my settings to be accessible by swipe only.

He had to do right with his job and firearms license. He seemed pretty honest on the stand and is well informed.

I have an iPhone13 and it doesn't allow that feature.

No, it was locked. Apparently you can access the top right swipe down without unlocking.

According to Lt. Dove in his testimony today, Maggie's phone logged 38 steps from 8:17 - 8:18pm; 44 steps from 8:30 - 8:33pm; and 59 steps from 8:53 - 8:55pm. The iPhone measures both steps and distance separately. It measures distance using GPS functionality and steps using the accelerometer. Dove didn't say anything about the distance traveled with each set of steps (that I recall). Does that mean that the distance information is yet to come or that it couldn't be extracted or they don't feel it's important? I think it would be important to know how far the phone traveled in the 59 steps. We might be able to conclude if the person with the phone was short and running or was tall and not running.

Also not mentioned or asked of Lt. Dove (again..that I recall), was if the phone is in a car traveling at less than 10 miles per hour, say around 3 miles per hour and the app is turned on will it record that movement as steps. Since it's based on motion and gps coordinates, does the phone have to be physically on you?

I would love to know how many other times during their marriage he had called her “babe”.

Theories on why Maggie's phone was moved but Paul's phone was left on his back ?

No, it was locked. Apparently you can access the top right swipe down without unlocking.

Just Airplane Mode or your entire settings?
