I know she's nervous, but she's extremely hard to understand. I hope the jury can hear everything she is saying.

12.15p ET: caregiver Shelley on stand. Bless her heart, she seems so uncomfortable, possibly afraid to answer honestly.

Added: Just read back up post, sounds like I’m not alone in my impressions.

Alex was acting fidgety, he said he wanted to check on his Mom. Alex sat on the bed and said Hey Momma. Caregiver says his mother didn't know he was there in her opinion. He had his cell phone and was on it.

She has a dialect and cadence to her speech that is common around here. As a local, I can understand her perfectly.

Alex stayed about 20 minutes according to the caregiver. He left. Caregiver got a call about what happened to Moselle. Randy said John Marvin, Buster and his gf and Alex were going to spend the night.

Now that's she's moved closer to the mic, it's made a huge difference! I think she was just too far away from the mic. :)

She's crying because she's been strong armed by AM, imo.

Bless her heart - you can tell that this has put her in a bad spot having to testify.

Caregiver saw Alex come into Miss Libby's room. He said to her he was at the house the night of the murders for 30 or 40 minutes. He just repeated he was at the house for 30 or 40 minutes. Witness is crying. He was not there at the house for 30 or 40 minutes she recalled. She called her brother to tell him about that conversation. It was more like 20 minutes according to her.

Wow. This is so damaging. JMO.

Oh my goodness, AM was trying to suggest to the caregiver what he needed her to say about how long he had been at his mother’s house the night of the murders. “I was here 30 to 40 minutes.” (Double the time he was actually there.)

Intimidation as his dementia-suffering mother lay nearby. That poor woman. (The caregiver.)

She needs security, not the M's. JMO

This breaks my heart

Good job on the prosecution's part introducing the comments AM made to the caregiver the day after the murders.

She was getting married soon and Alex offered to help pay for it, although he had never mentioned it before. He also offered a good word for her at the school because his friend was the Principal.
