I know nothing about trial law but I do know this:

The prosecution gets leeway to ask witness what the accused has said because he has the right not to take the stand.

If the defense wants to introduce what the defendant has to say, they have an option.

They just don't want to call him to the stand.

I was shocked and saddened to hear that he asked for Paul to come there too. I had wondered whether he intended to kill both of them or just one of them, but looks like it was both. Very sad.

This witness has been one of the most important imo. The case is proven without the financial testimony, so I hope that does not lead to a successful appeal.

So the Saturday morning September 4 when AM called Blanca for his medical insurance card was the day of the “ roadside nonsense “ when he claims someone shot him.

Does the State not get to pursue that line of questioning and bring it up or what?

So I guess witnesses now have the motive to testify by embellishments and in tears seeing how much money another witness has made. How can we be sure they won’t be tempted to do that? Will this witness ask for donations for bravery as well!? This is a dangerous game - witnesses profiting from testifying under any circumstances is a bad precedent. It undermines everyone’s testimony. Defense should call Mrs. Smith and ask how much money she’s made. It would completely undercut her testimony. I’m not saying she lied on the stand but AM has the right to question her motivation now!

I doubt that she or family intended to start a , it just happened. I'm not agreeing with it. I don't think Shelly tried to profit from her testimony. Her daughter maybe saw the toll this has all taken on her. She quit her school job. Does she still have the caretaker job?? It seemed from her testimony she worked around the clock. It is easily explained if anyone wants to offer some compassion for her

Wow, AM tells Blanca where to go in to the house (to clean the day after the murders) so she can avoid the SLED agents.
That looks so bad for AM.

All I heard was she said “go make the house the way Maggie liked it.” Did I miss a specific instruction about laundry or something?

I wonder if she and AM had a blowup up at the house. Did he tell her what happened at theblaw firm that say? Or did he pull out the receipt for the Gucci purchases and tell her she had to stop spending, things were really bad? Paul may have left to go to the kennels.

Already worrying for months about the lawsuit, she may have just stormed out, got in her car, intending just to drive the kennels to tell PM she was heading to Edisto. In anger, she pulls off her wedding ring as she gets in her car, just tosses it in frustration…and drives to the kennels.
She leaves the car running, just planning to be there a few minutes, but engages with PM about the dog. AM walks down, angry and desperate about the ruin he faces. We don’t hear them talking to each other in the video. She may be ignoring him…just commenting to PM about the dog and the chicken.
