And the (dirty) dishes typically were left around the living room. I don't think they ate at the dinner table. JMO
I can't get over people leaving their dirty dishes in the living room for their housekeeper to clean up the next day. The Murdaugh's were not the uber rich. Is it really too much trouble to carrry your dishes to the sink ?

Makes yr living room smell if you always leave dirty dishes there overnight.

Completely valid to get new clothing after losing weight. Plus he was staying at different places, and may have exhausted what he brought and bought more at times. I’ve done that so often. This seems like a nothingburger to me.

Leaving pots on the stove? They didn’t do the dishes? Gross. Seriously gross.

I really want to know just how wet the Khaki pants were that the housekeeper found lying near the puddle of water in the bathroom. Were they really, really wet or just damp from getting wet when he dropped them on the floor? Was this answered. Could he have been wearing the pants or took them into the shower with him because the pants had blood on them? Could explain why she did not notice blood on the pants. Just my two cents worth. JMO

I'm confused. Why/ how could LE rope off the house at Moselle? It wasn't a crime scene and there was no warrant to lock down AM's home. If they locked it down, wouldn't the defense be saying 'rush to judgment'?
^^rsbm

I disagree. The moment AM told the 911 operator that he left the victims and/or the crime scene and returned to the house to grab a shotgun, the crime scene was extended to include the house even before the police arrived at the Moselle scene (i.e., an opportunity to hide/destroy evidence).

This would be typical protocol in a double murder police investigation regardless of the individuals involved here and has nothing to do with police focusing on the Murdaughs or not focusing on them.

Lady Justice wears a blindfold and police are supposed to do the same when investigating a crime (i.e., blind to Murdaugh status). MOO

Observation from a local South Carolinian, we have a lot of insects, specifically the palmetto bug. Leaving dirty dishes in the lowcountry is slack and lazy.

Whether or not they secured the crime scene properly, seems to me to be irrelevant to deciding the trial. They have the evidence they have, have to judge it by that, and imo there is plenty enough to find for guilt here.

Can't figure out what the significance of the folded pajamas in the doorway is, besides that it was just very unusual. Who put them there and why? Any ideas?

MM had been living in Edisto and the prosecution believes MM was lured to the house by AM.

IMO, setting out MM's pj's looks like staging inside the house-- especially when I don't think PM & MM intended to spend the night on Monday.

We know that PM was working for Uncle John Marvin that week (refused a hunting invite from law partner Ronnie Crosby's son) and had been sleeping at his house.

If MM dropped PM off at his uncle's house, PM would have his truck in the morning that was waiting for him at his uncle's house. JMO

ETA: Also, recalling AM lied to investigators during the interview -- told them MM was at home when he left for work in the morning when she clearly was not and had not been in Moselle recently.

I think someone who came the night before put the pots in the refrigerator. Just being helpful during a tragic situation. What I can't figure out and I think is significant....why did he kill them the night his dad went to the hospital? I think his dad knew everything that had happened with the financial stuff. I also wonder if his dad essentially ordered the hit on Paul and Maggie and Alex wanted him to know that it was done before he passed. Completely speculating here but something about the way the father/grandfather was just gives me that vibe. Completely my random opinion
Oh, I see. How very Soprano of him!! ;)

I'm boggling at the fact that they typically left pots and pans with food still in them on the stove overnight for the housekeeper to deal with the next morning. Beyond just the bugs it would attract, that food would go bad. Guess the Murdaugh's are too good to eat leftovers, so who cares if it rots on the stovetop overnight.

They said on Fits that the day Alex talked to Blanca about his shirt is the same day of his third police interview. DH alluded to this as well, that it was right after police showed him the Snapchat video wearing a different shirt. Alex stopped talking to police during that interview. We have not seen it yet.

Looking at pictures of Maggie, in every photo I can find where her left hand is visible she is wearing a big flashy wedding ring. The fact that she even wore it while in a swimsuit on a boat, IMHO, makes the case that she did wear it regularly and not just for formal events.

That guy on L&C said the ring was found in the suv a week before the murders.
??
We know this is incorrect because Bianca clearly testified this was after the SUV was retrieved from police impound.
