I've seen it mentioned in some posts...but does anyone know if we know for a fact that Maggie's car was running? I probablyy missed the source of that info. Thanks!
I remember reading it early on in the case but have not seen it brought up lately and has not been mentioned in court, to my knowledge.

I can't find it right now but the first guy that testified said Maggies car was at the house

so msny unsubstantiated rumors in this case!

  • #1,004
No evidence at all so far that she wanted a divorce or sent a message to a friend that alex was acting fishy it is all just rumor

I'm confused. Why/ how could LE rope off the house at Moselle? It wasn't a crime scene and there was no warrant to lock down AM's home. If they locked it down, wouldn't the defense be saying 'rush to judgment'?

I can think of many murders where the murderer/POI's home wasn't immediately locked down.

I mean, it's a shame they didn't (lock down the house proper), but I think the defense is blowing smoke.

Geez, if LE had locked down the house or worn booties at the crime scene or kicked 500 designer suits out of Moselle, it would only have led to more evidence against the accused!

The disservice, if indeed there was one, wasn't to AM. It was to their own case in chief, which hadn't yet been established!

Amen!!!!

Correct ---this article does say " Allegedly" she texted friend and that she originally did NOT want to meet at Mosselle property and it has not been mentioned in court.

The search warrant LE got the night of the murders applied to the entire Moselle property, including the house. Starting at 1:20:50.

Can't figure out what the significance of the folded pajamas in the doorway is, besides that it was just very unusual. Who put them there and why? Any ideas?
My take is: who ever put them there wanted to give the illusion MM did it. They were on the floor next to the tub. As if after the kennels MM was going to have a bath and change into the underware and pj's.

So he actually changed clothes when he got home from the office…different shirt and shoes.

She never saw that shirt and shoes after.

She then testifies about his Sperry boat shoes (remember at moms house), she never saw those again.
IMO he rinsed off post murders and put on
old clothes & shoes. She said he never wore those things( he had on in LE photos) that she knew of, for years.
Pretty transparent because he knew LE would take his clothes. Pretty stupid too.
She was a powerful witness!
She was there as a voice for Maggie. TG!

I think the people that AM used & sucked into this evil web are climbing out & healing by exposing him through their testimony.
It’s like an abuse victim is told you better not tell…and now they get to finally TELL EVERYONE.

What in the world is this about someone trying to burn down the house on Holly Street?

It never was brought up again. Weird.

So who was trying to plant the seed that AM had a history of attacks going back to 2009? Probably more insurance fraud by AM himself! JMO

Bluffton Today
7/9/2009

HAMPTON - Local and state police are still searching for a suspect in connection with an apparent arson attempt at the home of a local attorney.

Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at the home of Alex Murdaugh at 515 Holly St. Extension around 7:30 Friday morning. While the fire was quickly distinguished, evidence at the scene has prompted an arson investigation, said Hampton Police Chief Perry McAlhaney.

"We suspect that sometime Thursday night or Friday morning someone spread some kind of accelerant around the house and tried to set it on fire from the back door," said McAlhaney. "Luckily, for some reason it didn't spread through the house and the only thing that burned was the floor mat."

Her pj’s and underwear were in the doorway of the laundry room, which is WAY stranger than next to a tub!

Total lack of everything on Harpo's part. No class or empathy in that man. AJMO That young man and his brother lost their Mom, she's gone forever.
Dick is aptly named…. JMO

Tinsley seemed pretty smart, especially in his first go-around. I’d bet he has a prepared answer that the defense won’t like. So I hope they ask.
They won’t. Phillip Barber didn’t bring his big boy panties today. JMO.

As Blanca found pots in the fridge, 'did they eat'?
Were dirty plates left out?
Were autopsies done on stomach contents?

Who finally washed pots?
How much food remained?
Bianca could not remember if the food she left was consumed or how much except she did not find any dishes in the living room as typical and no pots on the stove or in the sink. Instead, she found them in the fridge.

The autopsy showed that PM/MM had similar contents in their stomachs.

I hope to be able to watch her testimony this weekend. Did any of her testimony indicate she thinks Alex is guilty?
