IMHO this is painful on multiple levels. Hoping the jury will not feel the need to see a full video of the shootings in order to come to a guilty decision.

Murder/suicide? Is the defense claiming that AM was embarrassed by it and hid the weapons??

  • #1,025
Is DH intentionally making this more gruesome than it already is?

I am noticing that when she is using the pointer to show where she thinks the bullets went AM is paying very close attention to her. imo he's trying to see how much she is on point with her testimony.
My sister is an attorney, and she tells me this is part of his trial strategy in general. I guess the word among the legal community is that DH feels that juries need to hear the gore to be moved by the evidence, and any gruesome content favors AM because, "How could a father do this?!" I feel like this is so heartless and disrespectful of the family, and in my opinion, constantly highlighting the ghoulishness alludes to the weakness of the defense.

This issue is illustrative of how cautious and respectful the prosecution has been, and how the defense will play every card they can to manipulate, not unlike their client. The contrast is clear to me, and I know who to trust when it comes to the facts.

That is what a defense attorney does though, isn't it? It seems like some people here want AM's defense to have Poot get up there and say "Excuse me, folks, could you please find it in your hearts to not find my client guilty? It would be greatly appreciated. The defense rests."

No way a father could do this, yet a son could do this to his mother. Good luck to DH with that.

Something is bugging me that probably has no bearing on anything, but I just want to see if maybe I have this wrong or?? So we know Maggie was at Edisto the morning of the murders because of her texts to Blanca and also Blanca's testimony. From that I assumed Maggie had stayed there at least the night before, which would have been Sunday night. However, didn't the Mom's caregiver (I can't remember her name) that was at his parents' house say Maggie and Alex brought donuts by the house around 9 pm on Sunday night? If that's the case, it would just seem strange to me that Maggie would drive to Edisto that late just to come back first thing the next day.

Yes the caregiver did say that, but I don't think we know for sure yet whether she was at Moselle or Edisto in the morning or even the night before.

Yeah, it's the night before I was wondering about. Based on her texts to Blanca about leaving the beachhouse for the "Mexicans" to lock up, I thought it was established she was there at least in the morning?

Wow did Harpo really elude to this kind of thing? I'm not going back right now to watch what I missed

So how does a young man go from being concerned with his friends dog ….to minutes later murdering his mother & killing himself?!
I actually thought PM sounded happy & funny in the “Cash video”.
This insane defense theory is like killing them twice.

MOO
Not only kill himself - but first do a non-fatal shot to his chest and arm and then hold the gun somehow and blow his own brains out.
I know AM has no shame but even this is really, really low for the defense and AM. JMO.

There was testimony that Maggie went Charleston for a doctor's appointment the day of the murders.

Good luck indeed! DH must have missed all the family annihilators we've read about here on WS. Plenty of fathers have wiped out entire families
(and Mothers too).
