Just me, but I think all the DNA evidence can be explained away by the defense based on Alex saying he checked the bodies for a pulse. Now there are questions about where he actually did that, but the defense explain it away. Add to that the messing up of the shirt in testing and I think it would have been better if the state not bothered entering the DNA evidence at all. They have plenty of other evidence. But it’s done now.

The dna of Paul and Maggie on shirt can be explained by the defense. I have read some articles that DNA can transfer from clothes of family members in the wash. They said the shirt smelled like laundry detergent. Hmmm! And why was Paul's friends dna found on the shirt? Very puzzling!!!!

Agree, it's truly meaningless. Maybe that's why they buzzed right through it? The most important info I learned this morning is there was no DNA on AM's shoes except for his own.

If they would have said something about it, they'd never have gotten that 3rd interview with him
But, perhaps they would not need a further interview if he confessed….seems like they had him on the verge.

But, if he had been so close as take a pulse, it doesn’t seem plausible that he would not have DNA on his shoes….unless they were not the same shoes

Agree, it's a huge deal.

I really think it was more of an excited utterance. I don't think he would have confessed, but I see what you mean.

Why does Alex keep sniffing and snuffing, and clearing his throat it's gross. I wonder if he snorted his pills? His demeanor in this interview is like he's talking about what he had for dinner. Chatting with the SLED agents about people they knew in common.

Sure got over that fake grief in a hurry.

I am surprised that the police officer didn’t followup….it sounds pretty clear that he says, “I did him so bad…”
I agree, I hear, "I did" not they.

Of course, in addition to AM's having changed his clothes, he also likely changed his shoes.

So? No surprise there, that only AM's own DNA was on his (changed) shoes...

I believe that the lady sitting beside Joe McCullough is Maggie's sister, anyone else think so? In the Law & Crime link you can see her behind Alex's left shoulder.

I admit I have a weak stomach, but I've literally gagged listening to his sniffing his interviews. I almost gagged just now thinking about it lol

I agree. The most blaring testimony for this witness that sticks in my brain (and that brain has felt abused by this testimony) is "unidentified DNA" single, double and tripled...and the confounding "not a contributor" thrown in there.

I hope the juror brains are better suited to wade through all the quad, octo, sexta etc...zillion odds being thrown down also.
