Notice the complete lack of tears and deep sobbing now!! He's on the ropes and he knows it. Grief is pushed back and he's in survival mode here. No talk about Maggie at all here either. At the beginning he was sooo stricken with grief. Now? Nothing!!!

Curious about thoughts on if the prosecution should have played these videos first and then tied in the witness testimony to refute his story? Maybe the testimony's would have been clearer to the Jury. What do you all think?

I lean towards that. So much of the beginning was spent on the financial aspect that it didn’t make a strong imprint elsewhere. But maybe having it at the end is more effective?

This is one time I wish I had a very large screen tv so I could better see Alex’s coloring changes in response to various questions, while still watching Law and Crime’s split screen.

There are times when it appeared to me he turned much redder when asked critical questions (such as about clothing changes) or when it was clear he’d been caught in a falsehood (presence at the kennels during PM’s call to Rogan). And his general body language looks much more self-protective than at the beginning of the interview. He also becomes confrontational, questioning whether the agent thinks AM is giving an inconsistent answer.

Of course, it has become clear throughout the course of the interview that AM is believed suspect and is being questioned accordingly, so that would explain the less cooperative and more challenging responses.

Those of us who have been in abusive relationships (and mine was with a prominent man), know exactly how quickly they can go from lovey dovey (in public) to what they do in private. And there's tons of literature on this. There are all kinds of abusive relationships, the most common of which is probably the one where the abuser feels contritition and begs for forgiveness. But once you've been physically, verbally or otherwise assaulted by your spouse, I don't think things are ever the same.

When the kids are grown and the woman starts thinking about leaving (especially if she thinks the finances would support separation - but with a reduced lifestyle for everyone), that's the most dangerous time.

No, I don't think drug dealers kill people's families in order to make someone pay their drug bills. In fact, like private criminal defense lawyers, drug dealers typically demand payment up front.

Can you think of any cases where drug dealers killed the wife and son of a client because he didn't pay them?

IMO, these are nearly non-existent, few and far between, and they don't use the guns belonging to the family.

IMO.

I understand there are many times that your experience is that of many others (and I don't disagree with you). However, many of these people have known him for upwards 4+ decades and they've consistently testified about how great he was with the kids and how much he loved MM.

Killing and intimidating family/friends has been around since the dawn of time and this isn't someone buying drugs from lowly a drug dealer. $2.4 million to Curtis Eddie Smith "traced" alone. There are cartels that span the globe that are absolutely ruthless and while I'm not saying that's what happened here, it certainly has me perplexed. The amount of money he stole vs. what he had is disproportionate and MM sister even testified that while they lived a comfortable life, it wasn't lavish. To me, there is more to this story.

I agree we have been all over the place here.
