Watching the tape so far, my impression only...they got him with the timeline...especially since his brother RM said he left the firm at 6pm and AM was still there and AM's own phone (according to earlier testimony) was logged at the firm at 6:25 and back at Moselle at 6:40.

If PM's phone was at kennels 7:45, in-house from 8:08-8:14, 20 meters from house at 8:35, at kennels at 8:38, videoing dog at 8:44, then nothing...when was ride around and when was supper?

PM gets to Moselle at 7:30. His phone was logged from Yesseeme to Moselle traveling from 6:17 to 7:30. At kennels 7:45, 23 mins later it's in-house for 6 mins, then 20 meters away from house at 8:35, three mins later at kennels til death.

The time line doesn't fit AM's story.

And MM's phone's last call tracked at 7:50 Walterboro Rt 17.

Timeline, timeline, timeline.

That’s a horrible image. And to even imagine what Paul was thinking as his dad killed him.
Luckily (that sounds awful) Paul didn’t have much time to process what was happening. A second or two maybe? I hope not more.

Maggie's car was not at the kennels. So apparently she did not think she was leaving directly from the kennels to go to Edisto. AM asked MM to come to Moselle because of his father's health. That was why I thought AM could have mentioned going to Almeda together (although I know his dad was out of Almeda by the evening) but it's just a guess. I really was just getting at why there was no other car (other than the golf cart) at the kennels. JMO.
You are correct about MM's car. I don't know why I was thinking that it was out there.
Apparently AM's brain fog is rubbing off on me (eek!). ;)

My biggest takeaways, so far, while listening to the August 11th interview by LE....

1. AM was not expecting NT to testify that the he had seen the Blackout in March. AM says it had disappeared around Christmas (MP testified that AM told her that whoever killed them had planned it for a long time....)

2. AM KNEW about the car data and was relying on it to validate his timeline.

3. AM was still at the office when his brother left around 6 pm which would explain why he was still wearing long pants in the SnapChat video, but still couldn't explain when he had changed clothes.

4. WHY would AM turn PM over???

5. AM asks/suggests that MM is shot first, and knows she had a shot in the head.

6. This may be insignificant, but I just found it cruel that the Beach family was DNA tested for the MURDER of PM.

Just my observations and all JMO.

After watching AM shut Cory Fleming down and proceed to answer questions in that interview, I’m inclined to think AM will take the stand.

He is supremely confident in his capability to monitor the reactions of his audience and to shift his words, posture, voice modulation, and emotional demonstration to influence them.

However, a jury granting an insurance award from a big insurance company or that insurance company caving to a settlement in anticipation of a jury doing so, is a LOT different than a jury hearing evidence and making a judgment in a trial involving double-homicide of a wife and son. In this case, the lawyer-defendant is being personally judged, has been revealed as a self-serving cheat and liar, and there is no big, bad insurance company that can afford the loss.
Yes. After DH said he was looking forward to cross examining CES, I have no doubt that Waters is ready and waiting to cross AM. If he does take the stand, I'll be very interested in how long it takes DH to form a question and how many times he strikes himself..let me rephrase that..before he allows AM to answer. In essence DH will be testifying through his pseudo questions so Waters will be limited on his cross. I hope he does take the stand...I want to see if he lies the same in person as he does on video. jmo

If my hubby always had money and we sell a house, I would expect to buy another home, just like MM sister said she was planning to do in Hilton Head. Why get your sister and family to come see it? When he told me no, I would be suspicious and look deeper into our finances.

1hr

It sounds like we still have a ways to go on the SLED interview when we return from lunch. Investigators meandered between subject matters and between asking direct, confrontational questions and asking questions that sounded sympathetic to AM.

SLED hasn't yet asked the "did you do it" question, though investigators got close a time or two. I imagine that will come toward the end. That's the kind of question that can end an interview, and it seems they were trying to keep him on the hook for as long as possible.

SLED also probably knew this would be their last opportunity to interview AM and squeeze useful information out of him before he realized he was their top suspect and shut down. If so, they were right. The Labor Day shooting and AM's first arrest were just a month later.

Was AM’s phone on?

Paul was using his uncle's truck that day -- his uncle's truck was apparently at the house because Paul took it to Moselle. I believe that Maggie's car was also at the house. Buster was not at Moselle at all so his vehicle would not be there. I think the State is implying that the reason there was no other truck than AM's at the kennels when LE arrived was because AM used his own truck to drive everyone down there. JMO.

Keep in mind these individuals own several vehicles each: there have been no allegations that Buster was at Moselle-- we know he was in Rock Hill. The black truck kept/used at the farm was known as Buster's truck (ref. Dale Davis testimony).

It follows that all 3 rode to the kennels together after supper.

Just interviewed Jarrett Bouchette of the Floyd law firm (one of Curtis "Eddie" Smith's attorneys) in our livestream. According to Bouchette, the general consensus is that Smith will NOT be called to testify.

He told his sister in law that the killer had thought a long time about the murders.
(Yep he can read minds of killers).
certainly he can read his own mind.

Unlocked vehicles on property, and guns inside cars. No list or records of guns they owned. How totally irresponsible! That would never fly here in NY, NJ, or PA. Insane.
Also to remind everyone, this was in the time after Paul's boat accident and Alex claimed Paul was getting harassed, threatened, punched over the death of Mallory. So WHY would they have all these guns laying around, in vehicles, etc. Also, this was after Paul already had a very expensive (something like $4,000) gun stolen from his truck at a party.

So the more I hear him saying, guns were everywhere, we always had guns, Paul always had guns, Alex had a handgun in his car usually etc.. then suddenly no guns in the vehicles that day, no guns laying around at the kennels, etc. he had to go back to the house to get a shotgun to protect himself from a possible murderer (like he didn't want LE to think he was armed at any time until AFTER the murders).

I think Paul had his gun at the kennel that night.. who goes down to the kennel in the dark with their mom on this remote property and doesn't bring a gun, especially when they are known to always carry a gun? Seems this is exactly the time to bring a gun for protection. So I think they went down to those kennels together in Alex car with their guns. They went together because they planned to go visit Alex's mom.. so they swing by the kennel to check on the dogs before they leave. Maybe Paul brings his gun and it's in that utility room while he's dealing with the dogs. Alex has his shotgun and at just the perfect time he shoots Paul twice and it gets Maggie's attention. Alex picks up Paul's gun and shoots his wife.. then he cleans up any blood he had on him right there at the kennel with that hose. He might have had that tarp in his car and he puts the guns on it, takes off his clothing and puts on another outfit because it's been said he kept clothing in his car!.. so he didn't even have to go back into that house before he drove to his moms. He had the tarp in the car and he put everything on that tarp and drove off to his moms house.

Few thoughts:

Why does Dick want to call a “ footwear expert “ ?

For the past year and a half, Defense said that the roadside incident was AM wanting Buster to get $10 million life insurance.
Yesterday and again this morning Dick said $12 Million!

What’s up with AM leaving work later than he claims?

AM has been trying to sell the story he left work early on Monday because PM was coming home, and how father and son spent HOURS together riding the property, laughing, shooting, etc. because they are so close (and could never harm each other).

We know the 2 hours later became 'more than 20 minutes but less than 2 hours' by AM. JMO

One of the points, MM's sister brought up yesterday was that MM wanted to move due to the cold shoulder from area residents MM was feeling after PM's boating accident. This may have put more pressure on AM financially since mortgages hadn't been paid and most credit was maxed out. MM made a comment to her sister, IIRC, stating that they may have to start all over again. In the event properties did sell so they could move, there would be more debt accrued with real estate fees, repair to sell fees, commissions...and if they got their sell price, properties would only be paid off. There would be nothing left for a down payment. I'm sure MM was placing pressure to move if life felt unbearable where they were currently living. Just more pressure on a boiling pot, IMO. And I don't believe that things were great between AM and MM, MOO.
On the other hand, if SC is a community property state, they would both divide up nothing but debt putting both deeper in the hole.
Just some thoughts. I felt that MM's sister didn't spill more than she had to yesterday to protect her family's dignity. My heart aches for her as her love for her sister and nephews was palpable.
