And what's funny is June 4th was the last day of mediation. And mediation failed and it was decided that day they were going to trial. I can see the day before and the day after PM being on his cell alot. Thus running his battery down.

Did we ever hear specific times for these things:

!. When Alex was confronted about missing money at work
2. When the phone call about his dad being terminal was (I recall this happening during the confrontation about the money so the person asking Alex about the money decided to drop it because he got this bad news about his dad)

3. When he talked to Maggie to ask her to come out
4. when he talked to Paul to have him come out

Cousin Eddie. There is no way he and AW were good friends.

This is what we see every time. It means very little that the defense "seemed" to get the upper hand with Owen. What is crucial is again the defense opened the door to direct information.

This time it is the roadside shooting testimony by... questioning the witness as to the relationship between AM and Eddie Smith, payment of money to buy drugs, indebtedness, etc......

You are so wise. As a longterm trial watcher, your insights are bomb, you are awesome.

Thank you for this, it's really helpful in understanding the arc of this trial. Prosecution needed to open that door, IMO.

The defense fought like pit bulls to keep the roadside shooting info out. It conflicts with their narrative that AM is a saintly family man because 1) there is plenty of evidence that it was all AM’s idea and 2) it connects AM to CE, a man that can testify to AM being involved with some super shady people.
If they did this on purpose, as some have suggested, the defense has given up, wants the trial over with, so they can get on with the appeals.

Still got that ole gut feeling PM was taken first since out of the two his odds of hearing that first shot to his mom, sad to say would give him the extra moment to get a heads up and scoot for cover, that would be my move.
….or make a phone call!

Is he trying to imply that Paul would have known intuitively if AM was the murderer? That is a really weird way to come at that unlikely idea.
No, not at all.

During AM's car interview, he told investigators that PM was like a "little detective" on how PM recorded CB Rowe telling him the story about how he was an FBI killer-operative in high school -- taking out black panthers.

Next, it was MP (MM's sister) that testified that MM called PM a "little detective" because PM seemed determined to sniff out AM's stash of pills whenever he suspected AM was using.

This was my point of reference when I stated AM had also called PM a little detective. MOO

It’s definitely possible they were in awe, and I will say that they were because everyone was. Several months went by without a peep from SLED because as @MassGuy said this was so big they wanted to have everything they needed to go up against Alex. As in, there would be a lot of resistance and intimidation from the Murdaugh dynasty so they didn’t want to take a chance risking their investigation.

You can gather from what several people have said that the family was like low country mafia. No one wanted to take them on because they were like royalty.

In the video from the crime scene you can hear an officer ask another “do you know about this family”? He then says “I will fill you in”
And it appears I was wrong; they should have waited even longer. I’m not impressed by what SLED did here, especially with the biological testing. The defense was smart to not request a delay, and appears to have caught the prosecution on their heels. I just hope the worst case scenario is a hung jury.

Yes -- it's all in testimony. Daily trial blogs are posted in the MEDIA thread.

I don’t know what”time”, but Jeanie S from AM’s work confronted him on Nune 7th about the money not being in the account. It was during that convo AM got the call that his dad RM was put in the hospital.
Unsure if Paul and or Maggie were already sched to go to Moselle before this event or he called them to come after the fact. Interesting either way.

That darn autocorrect gets us all in trouble all the time!

I agree, think defense did this on purpose…they want Cousin Eddie up there...to try to blame the murders on him, along with other things imo.

I don’t think the prosecution will call him though…just too much of a gamble.
Awwwww. I think we all want to see Ole Cousin Eddie up there on the stand.

Way too much of a gamble. He just isn’t credible.

Wash off at the kennels.
Put bloody clothes into the cooler.
Change into clothes he had with him.

I can see this happening.

Got it! I am still trying to understand AM's statement, "Paul was a real intuitive guy..." It was one of the times in the interviews when he re-routed the conversation, and the rerouting behavior seems to be when he is planting breadcrumbs for the investigation to follow a particular direction. It made no sense to me in the context, and I am still trying to figure out his angle. It could be an offhand remark, but I don't think so.

So is the "little detective" reference just an attempt to throw shade and suspicion on CB Rowe?

It is my feeling that AM never just brings stuff up. He has a list of suggested inferences that he'd like for the detectives to pick up on, you know, like an attorney would do in court.

Oh and lest we forget AM's attorney Griffin told everyone his client’s tire “appeared to have been slashed,” even though the knife allegedly used to inflict this damage was quickly linked to Alex himself.
lol!!!

Amazing how often the talking head defense attorneys from every YT channel are quoted on here! Of course they are in awe of the defense & salivate over trashing the prosecution smh
