My mute button has been my best friend during this trial and talking heads.Amazing how often the talking head defense attorneys from every YT channel are quoted on here! Of course they are in awe of the defense & salivate over trashing the prosecution smh
moo
ETA: doctrine of completeness and fairness.Newman said he reversed his ruling and will allow all of it pursuant to the doctrine of fairness after the defense questioned the witness about skimming by Smith, gangs, drug sales, etc.
I think the defense knowingly did it. Just my opinionThis is what we see every time. It means very little that the defense "seemed" to get the upper hand with Owen. What is crucial is again the defense opened the door to direct information.
This time it is the roadside shooting testimony by... questioning the witness as to the relationship between AM and Eddie Smith, payment of money to buy drugs, indebtedness, etc......
Got it! I am still trying to understand AM's statement, "Paul was a real intuitive guy..." It was one of the times in the interviews when he re-routed the conversation, and the rerouting behavior seems to be when he is planting breadcrumbs for the investigation to follow a particular direction. It made no sense to me in the context, and I am still trying to figure out his angle. It could be an offhand remark, but I don't think so.
So is the "little detective" reference just an attempt to throw shade and suspicion on CB Rowe?
It is my feeling that AM never just brings stuff up. He has a list of suggested inferences that he'd like for the detectives to pick up on, you know, like an attorney would do in court.
I'm with you, Mommy! That mountain of crap is so lame... the whole story is a phoney baloney red herring he cooked up, to provide a mess of false trails to confuse the investigators. This guy is a big narcissist, he was so-o-o sure he could run the cops in circles and beat the system. He makes my skin crawl.I cannot stand it being called a suicide attempt. People who are seriously suicidal usually accomplish what they are attempting to do.![]()
And untouchable for the crime of murder.Leaving guns out in the open over night, on side x sides, golf carts, in unlocked vehicles ( keys left in them). This does not seem the behavior of a person or persons who feel their lives are being targeted by shady individuals over the past year . This behavior seems indicative of people who feel safe and secure in their surroundings, and untouchable from even the most mundane crime that occurs in small towns.
The run flat tires, no less.Oh and lest we forget AM's attorney Griffin told everyone his client’s tire “appeared to have been slashed,” even though the knife allegedly used to inflict this damage was quickly linked to Alex himself.
lol!!!
There was no gun at the scene and forensic pathologist reported that suicide was not possible from that angle. They're being silly and grasping at straws.I'm with you, Mommy! Great catch!So...AM knew MM was shot in the back of the head.
Um....the pathologist said you couldn't tell because the how the shot was, that's why she shaved Maggie's hair in that spot.
I'm shaking my head...
Did Griffin intentionally open this door trying to force the state to call CES?
Sometimes it’s hard to know what’s true vs what’s theater… DH has this “forgive me your honor, I’m from the old school“ schtick, trying to sound at times like a kind old grandfatherly lawyer. However, his true personality comes out at times, as it did today when he laughed at something Mr. Meadors said, then when Meadors said “you think that’s funny?”, DH hit back with anger and made a scene, no doubt hoping to impress the jury with his powerful retort. I know there are theatrics in a courtroom, but I don’t care for that behavior, and I wouldn’t trust DH no matter how good his reputation is. All in my opinion of course!I wondered if that was to throw off the prosecution?

And it appears I was wrong; they should have waited even longer. I’m not impressed by what SLED did here, especially with the biological testing. The defense was smart to not request a delay, and appears to have caught the prosecution on their heels. I just hope the worst case scenario is a hung jury.
Oh we need a link!LOL, I just googled “does Gucci sell rain jackets”…and a photo of a men’s blue rain jacket popped up on eBay. Looks pretty similar…
You are allowed to ask leading questions on cross-exam.Ugh, I know. I’m not feeling good about a conviction at this point. The state has not done well with taking advantage of points made by the defence and witnesses. They haven’t personalized their position enough with the exception of AM being a liar.
For one, almost all of DH questions are leading. I haven’t heard the prosecution object on any of them.
