Good job by the young-buck prosecutor! He’s probably been prepping for this expert since the expert was disclosed.

Exactly! Ain't no expert in anything firearms!, knew that with the first words out of his mouth. Now plumb bobs and angles of the dangles ok.

JG provided these? What are the serial numbers? Just out of curiosity…

Harpootlian should have been reprimanded for that little antic. And there’s nothing funny about any of this.

Furthermore, WTH is wrong with this court, allowing guns to be pointed like they’re toys?? Is this a real weapon? If I was a juror, or in the gallery, I’d say get me the he** out of here, this is insane.
All the gun techs always checked it first to confirm it's unloaded, not Harpootlian. It was unnerving to watch.

I wish we could hear about how this witness was found, what they were asked to do, what information they were given before they went to do their assessment, etc. Did the defense say we are looking for someone to say xyz and then the guy went out there to see if he could find a way to say that specific thing. Did they say we want to disprove xyz and then have this guy come up with something? Did he have a totally unbiased look at the scene and come up with this and present it to the defense and then they accept or reject him or ask him to testify based on what he finds. It would be interesting to know. I think the most credible expert would be one that was given the photos of the crime scene and allowed to go to the property and present what he sees/thinks happened without knowing what the defense is trying to prove or disprove.

He’s been on the Murdaugh payroll since the boat case. That explains his ‘expert’ testimony$$$

This doesn't seem to be going to well for this witness. Sounds like some sloppy investigating. That graph is laughable. What is this guy exactly an expert on?

So, the expert is going to use a different kind of ammo to do his report on the trajectory of the ammunition used in the double murder?

Anytime any witness says “like I previously mentioned” “like I said before” I have to laugh because I always want to assume it’s passive aggressiveness. Of course that’s not always the case.

It's laughable because tall people can manipulate their height in many ways by kneeling, squatting, laying down, siting on something, leaning on something, bending over, etc. Based on Maggie's wounds not appearing to come from a shooter that actually knew what he was doing, I'm going to guess that whoever was shooting was not holding the gun up and aiming as one normally would in the position one normally would when firing a rifle. So to have this analysis saying it was a person exactly this tall is ridiculous.. the angles that Paul was shot from shows that the person wasn't standing up firing straight on. So now he is analyzing Maggie's wounds as if the shooter was standing up.
Trish…you don’t get it. It’s a Mexican cartel of midgets. It can’t be Alex. He’s too tall.

“It doesn’t really matter….” in regards to sound in house, but pay me to be an expert on sound.

What is the point of this dog and pony show.

Jack of all trades, master of none?

Oh, it 100% is, IMO.

Didn’t finish his report until yesterday….
My husband is a CPA-expert witness (on real estate, financial, and accounting matters) and it is not uncommon to be making modifications to reports at the last minute. Attorneys are notorious for focusing on what on what is immediately critical and getting to other things as they become critical, so make their reviews of reports close to trial and there is often some back and forth between the expert witness and the attorneys over details as you approach trial.

Witnesses who have integrity stick with what their expertise (training, experience, judgment based on years in the field) tells them, but there are SOME witnesses whose integrity is quite a bit more elastic and they are heavily motivated to shape their opinions with what the attorneys (and clients) want to be heard/read. A courtroom is an adversarial environment and this "elasticity" tends to be revealed when the expert witness faces the opponent. Over time, reputations are formed and attorneys on both sides (as well as judges) gain an understanding of the integrity of the person sitting in the witness chair.

Let's hope it wasn't the gun armorer/tech who worked with Alec Baldwin !
