No, she was testifying that the conversation with Maggie was that Maggie going to cook dinner for everyone either the next day or the day after, was not referring to the night that they were killed, that night Blanca did make dinner. The dinner conversation had nothing to do with dinner the night of the 7th. She was recounting want her last conversation with Maggie was, she never heard from her again after that phone call.
Not being disrespectful but I doubt that MM was going to be the one cooking the dinner for the crowd. JMO

On it and going to be a busy night for me and the help restocking, loading coal and checking on our guests sleeping in the luxury sleeper cars who took advantage of the buy one get one free deal lol.
FYI: My Great Aunt Addie(born 1903) worked for Morgan Guarantee Bank in Brooklyn, NY, as Secretary to VPs, and one of her assignments was to go check out a New Sleeper Car and approve it for their Customers(Mostly Very Rich). She had some funny stories about the kids of the Uber Rich coming in to ask for money from an Account/Trust Fund, and Aunt Addie had to tell some that they had exceeded their allowance, and NO More;) LOL
Would that I could have been so lucky...Not, but my family lived in the Real World.
We live in very different times...

Tomorrow might be a BIG DAY! Might want to stock up on your Bloody Mary ingredients as well as some fresh Orange Juice. The Bar Car might get pretty busy right after breakfast.
Will there be Capri Suns?

You better double up on the hard liquor because, if Alec takes the stand, the defense table may belly up.

Defense isn't going to want to open any doors for cross but all the prosecution needs is a sliver -- and they're in.

Will we get smiley cooperative Alec or nasal drippage?

I'm not taking any calls tomorrow. Cat can feed itself. (Won't be a problem. I still don't have one. )

Bring on the man himself.

Clear the weapons.

AM will be nothing but a big blubbering cry baby on the stand. It will turn into a huge Pity Party just for him on National Tv. It's going to turn into an emotional sideshow that will benefit no one but AM. Please don't give him the attention he craves. No good will come from it, IMO.

I so want to see the shredder CW cross examine him. I think that will dry his tears

Doesn’t really matter but here is a recap

Griffin asks how frequently Murdaugh would check on his mom and dad over the past 10 years. Mixon says she works at least four days a week and would see him just about every day.

She spoke to Maggie just hours before the murders. Mixon said Maggie planned to make dinner for Murdaugh’s parents and Mixon’s family. Maggie had to hang up because one of the boys called her and said she would call Mixon back. Maggie never called back.

If AM takes that stand, I think it will be a huge mistake. I think it will seal his fate and remove any reasonable doubt. There is just no way he can charm or lie his way out of this. No amount of tears. I have faith that the jury is going to see right through him, given all they've already heard.

Who on the defense team thinks this a good idea? Is AM going to appeal based on his crappy defense? Is that the long range plan with these inept "experts" and the defense witnesses who end up favoring the prosecution?

Also of note, of course I would love to see AM testify. I don't think he interprets "under oath" like us plebs may, though.

IMPOV, AM will Admit to being an Addict, and that he went to Rehab more than once-to ask for forgiveness, as most of us support the person who admits they have an addiction, and seek out help/Recovery.
IMPOV AM has used this as an excuse., to gain sympathy for years(If it's true he even went to Rehab before the False Suicide BS, which he knew would remove him from questioning while he was 'recovering' BULLS..T) He was Well Aware the Plan to bring Eddie to pretend shoot him...

Interesting that during those steps by MM, AM registers no steps - yet he was never without his phone, per witnesses.
Well I believe the prosecution's argument is that he purposefully turned off his phone (or left it back at Moselle) so he couldn't be tracked.

Interesting that MM's phone came on at 9:31p while on the side of the road and while AM was at Almeda.
I don't think the backlight turning on means that someone necessarily touched the phone at that time. There are a lot of things that can trigger the backlight, for example an app notification.

Since both the state and defense apparently agree that MM's phone was at the side of the road by then, I don't think it either exonerates or implicates Alex.

My point was that Maggie would outsource the cooking to Blanca, imo.

omg…shorter steps-maybe from someone like, oh, I don’t know, about 5’2”?
Oompa Loompas...lol!

Bingo! Getting thinner and thinner, that line AM is trying to walk. JMO

I think I’m going with the SLED phone expert over this guy.
I’m surprised the defense didn’t just call a Verizon retail clerk to testify.

If he can set up/blame someone for the Fake Roadside Shooting, Not a Stretch that he can plan to kill someone in his family. I still think he meant to kill Maggie, then in a Rage shot her multiple times. Perhaps his son Paul was not planned, BUT AM CALLED TEHM BOTH TO THE PROPERTY! It takes someone Truly EVIL to kill like this. Breaks my heart.
