I haven't been following as closely as y'all have - what is the deal with the badges?? I feel like this is going to help sink this guy the way he's stuttering.

He was using the badge to get out of speeding and parking tickets, which is a no no. There is a certain amount of trust and ethics that come with that badge which is not to get privileges.

It goes to show he thought he was above the law.

Waters needs to get to the stuff that matters unless he is just trying to get AM frustrated.
He’s letting him talk to much I think.

Glad this has been confirmed. Not Grisham.

Yeah, to me looks nothing like Grisham. Totally different noses. And different hair line.

I think most prosecutors will use their job to avoid issues like speeding tickets. They'll flash their credentials, claim they're on the job, and get a pass. I don't think Alex using his credentials when confronted by police means anything.
I think it would if he was using it in other ways other than just for getting out of tickets. He seemed to suggest in his direct that he didn't trust LE and that was why he lied. Yet, it seems he had no issues with LE and even had this badge that he could show as a way to get by with things others may not.. it might be pointing to him having special treatment that night if a LE looked in his vehicle and saw that badge or if the topic came up at all.. maybe even the boat case that night at the hospital. did he flash it then? I think it is significant to show he had no reason to lie if he was innocent and he may have used that badge as a way to get special treatment or special considerations that night at Moselle.

He can give the month and year he installed cop lights but the night his wife and son got murdered he doesn't remember anything in particular.

He may be trying to show AM thought he was above it all, and also trying to get AM flustered before bringing up the Big Stuff. jmo

Were some of the jurors crying when AM testified? I thought I read that but can't find it.
On the Court TV broadcast, they said some jurors were crying when he talked about his son at the end, you know, the one who liked to go out on the boat with his buddies.

Blue lights in my vehicle………. yes…... (but, apparently the defendant does not trust law enforcement….. per prior testimony)…… Interesting.

Seems like low fruit for a cross….. MO
