Maybe that discussion about the farm truck being broken down on the side of the road and the police chief from Yemassee (sp?) that Conrad asked JMM about means something regarding the disposal of evidence?
It was VERY convenient that good buddy Chief was right there when the truck broke down. Definitely held on til it was safe for JMM to ditch it. But why?

No, some boring forensic testimony that I doubt will change anyone's minds' and John Marvin who added absolutely nothing other than telling us a delightful anecdote about Alex Murdaugh pooping his pants and admitting that he knew his brother was lying about not being at the kennels because he recognized Alex's voice on the video. Oh, and that he thought that Mallory Beach's death was blown out of proportion.

Don't forget that practically the whole state of SC was saying mean, mean things about poor Pau Pau after he killed Mallory Beach. That darned death sure as heck fire really put the hurtin on ol Alex. It was so out of proportion! Oh and there wasn't a single tear shed for Maggie either compared to the flood of tears John Marvin shed for Pau Pau! Maggie held hands with Alex at a football game so there was no way Alex could murder her! She wasn't mentioned more than that.

And let's not forget the rare Murdaugh Amnesia that comes and goes that lets the brothers remember the most detailed info like..." The exact date that Alex got his favorite gun with the adorable nickname because , of course the Murdaugh's have nicknames for their implements of death.... But Golly, Gee, Shucks-o-man, John Marvin couldn't remember what time Blanca came by in the morning to clean up the house or anything else that could paint Saint Alex in a bad light.

Well except for when he he crapped his pants. No matter what happens from here going forward we'll ALWAYS have that!!!

Yep! It was one of the days.

I've often wondered if CW (or anyone on the prosecution team) or investigators have been concerned for their own well-being (or their family members) during the investigation and trial??

Well, he certainly lied by omission when he didn't tell law enforcement that that was actually his brother on the kennel video.
JM did tell SLED that it was AM’s voice on the kennel video. He testified that it was the first time that he heard that piece of information. I think you need to listen to his testimony again.

Soooo convenient. I've been stuck on this nearly all afternoon.

OMG, was this during the investigation. I have to confess I zoned out of much of his testimony. He certainly enjoyed being on the stand today.
This was on the way to his rehab in Florida in September 2021.

John Marvin testified that Alex pooped his pants in John Marvin's car.

John Marvin wants you to know that when AM had diarrhea in the car, he didn't have it in a toilet. He had it in his pants.
I just saw this tweet too! There is no end to humiliating AM while trying to save his sorry a$$ during this trial.

Yeah, and of course it is an older vehicle likely not to have an on-board computer.

I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been concerned, I know I would be if I were the prosecuting AG. I mean there was a bomb threat in the Judge's chambers.

This has been one wild case for sure and it's a shame that one man/family wielded such power and influence over that area. Disgusting IMO.

If you go to 7:55:45 it's where Will is talking about the PMPED attorneys huddling with Creighton looking very serious. It should be teed up to that timestamp

Oooh man, this is going to be good.

I wasn't able to listen to a lot of today's testimony. Did the Defense actually make any new points that a reasonable juror might think matter?
Yes, they did. They testified that nobody took a proper temperature read (rectal temp) on Maggie & Paul’s body when they arrived on the scene and instead used an inaccurate tool (under the armpit) temperature read so time of death cannot be declared. (Edited for horrific sentence structure).

I have a theory which dawned on me after JMM’s testimony.

“The guy from Yemassee” (GA, who received $5k from AM a month after the murders), arrived at Moselle, having taken JMM there after the farm truck broke down.

Might he have, hypothetically, taken guns (stashed in Varnville/Almeda or even near Moselle) and disposed of them for AM?

Why else would they be talking about this?

ETA: see my more detailed post a page or two or three >> ahead

I just started following this trial recently and I have a question that most probably was answered much earlier.

AM was wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants in the video his son took earlier in the evening before the murders but was wearing a white t-shirt and shorts right after murders when talking to LE. Presumably the theory is that he took off the bloodied blue shirt/khakis and showered after the murders and changed into the shorts. Did LE find the blue shirt and khakis or are they missing? This seems critical. Even if he washed them wouldn't they be able to find blood residue with proper technique?

They are missing. His housekeeper, who did his laundry, said she never saw them (or the shoes he was wearing) again.

Well oh well. If that be the case, behind the defense and defendant table? Very interesting….. (in the best Inspector Clouseau / Peter Sellers’s accent).

Maybe there is some truth to the fear if convicted and work on a potential pardon?

Seems improper for that type of influential person to be there in that fashion. And in eye-shot of the jury. Astounding to me. Yes, I live up north. MO.

ETA…. this pops up on a quick search. Defense counsel Harpootlian receiving endorsement from Clyburn circa 2018 apparently.

AM gave DH a financial endorsement. It was posted a few threads ago.

The time of death can be declared to within 75 minutes between 8:45 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. From skimming several online sites, it seems that the body temperature of a deceased person decreases by 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit per hour.

That means that when the bodies were discovered, they were 1.5 degrees colder than normal.

That is, the body temperature does not add any new information to the known 75 minute window for the time of death. All this defence discussion about time of death is intended to confuse rather than enlighten.

WOW! Is infidelity going to finally enter this drama??? Hell, we've had just about everything else in this trial. Who had vicious diarrhea on their BINGO Card today? I sure didn't!
