They met with the juror and she denied talking about the case with anyone. The juror gave names to the judge of people she suspected were spreading the rumor. Those people were contacted and they provided an affidavit and they were brought in for an in chambers hearing.

Both of those people "waffled" on the nature and extent of the contact with the juror. Judge: The juror has had contact or discussions concerning the case with at least 3 individuals. Though it doesn't appear it was extensive, it did involve the juror offering her opinion.

BREAKING: Juror removed from the jury for having outside conversations about the case. Now down to 1 alternate.

It's a female juror #785. Judge is having her brought into the courtroom now to inform her she's off the jury.

Important note: Harpootlian said the defense didn't like the juror being removed - I'll speculate whatever was reported that she said was likely favorable to the defense.

Was it down to just one alternate or two before this? Because if there was only one alternate left, then the woman who was sleeping yesterday is now on the jury and there are no alternate juror left?

I didn't hear what the juror's opinion was. Sounds like her opinion was in favor of the defense since they are not happy with her being dismissed. jmo
