I have gotten nothing productive done for several weeks lol!

I've been at work with one airpod in listening to the trial at my desk. The other day I *forgot* (gasp!) my airpods so I literally went to CVS and bought a cheap pair of headphones so I wouldn't miss anything. LOL!

My understanding (there may have been testimony about this but I'm not sure) is that an FBI analyst/agent unlocked the phone by trying a password that was based on Paul's date of birth. I was surprised it took them that long to unlock the phone -- I thought I had read that LE had some kind of program that could check password combinations at an incredible rate of speed and therefore unlock phones more easily, but maybe I'm wrong about that. JMO.

Responding to my own post: the below article (about the FBI trying to unlock a different person's iPhone) explains that Apple has a security feature that erases phone contents if the wrong password is tried more than 10 times. This probably explains why LE did not use "software to quickly guess every possible combination of numbers for the four-digit passcode, a “brute force” effort that would normally take about 25 minutes" to open Paul's iPhone immediately. But as I noted, the FBI did finally open Paul's iPhone by using his date of birth as the basis for the password (apparently without reaching the 10 attempt limit). This happened in March/April 2022 -- 9-10 months after the murders. Not clear why this didn't happen earlier.

When I followed the Redwine trial Law & Crime had a Twitter page called L&C Verdict Watch and I followed it and turned on notifications. They only tweet when a Verdict is in.

I looked for it yesterday and didn’t find it. I’m going to ask one of their reporters on Twitter and I’ll let you know.

Actually, the prosecution closing was after a long day on the bus trip to Moselle. And went very long, past 5:30, most people were probably tired and hungry. Today, they will come to court in the morning, fresh and ready for the defense testimony.

On the plus side, the jurors had the prosecution closing to think about last night.

I thought it came out in testimony that quite some time later, the blue raincoat was found in a closet that stored a lot of junk, at AM's parent's home? hell, That blue raincoat could have been worn many times as the good ole boys went hog shooting or duck hunting. i dont thin GSR evaporates. Old GSR in my opinion. Raincoat irrelevant to this case. MOO

I didn't see that as a long day for the jury. They came in, rode the bus to Moselle, walked around a few minutes, rode back, listened to first half of closing arguments, had lunch and finished up right at 5 pm.

Typical length of a jury day and I'm glad they had the night to rehash everything CW said.

All things considered they didn’t start till after 11:00 ? Then lunch 1 1/2 hours, 20 minute break, Waters closing was like 3 hours.

The Defense is going to attack law enforcement and claim that they can't be trusted to present accurate information to the jury (alleged misinformation given to grand jury, alleged misinformation given to the family re blood on the t-shirt etc). JMO.

I've never been so thankful to work from home. At my old job, during the Casey Anthony trial we were all GLUED to the feed of the trial. They ended up just turning the office and break room TVs to it instead of us all at our desk with headphones.

After yesterdays chaotic engagement out at the ranch with our sleuths and animals gone wild we will be parking the hippy bus which took some hit's and settle in on the ole train and brace our minds for the defenses jibber jabber, feel free to order your favorites early to steady your nerves for today.
