I think AM adjusted fairly quickly to life behind bars and it took him little time to figure out the currency in jail (commissary).

Within weeks, he was bragging to Buster about his successful NFL wagers. He's an alpha male and as long as he continues to have family support on the outside, I see AM knowing how to keep himself safe as well as those he deems useful to him.

I won't be surprised whatsoever to one day read about AM conducting illegal commerce from the inside. JMO
IMO Alec will be protected by fellow inmates who will worship an outstanding jailhouse lawyer.

Can you say more? Are you familiar with the laws in this jurisdiction?

We will find out tomorrow, but SC doesn't give much leeway as to sentencing.

Also curious as to what you mean by "very much time." I think he has to get 30 years (with time off for good behavior, that would be maybe 15 years - probably more like 20, given the nature of the case.) He could get life in prison.

He faces 100+ other charges under at least 19 indictments (IIRC - probably more, actually) and will be back in court.

To me, spending 20 years in prison at ag 54 is a long time.

I think we're seeing the tides turn - and I worry that you think men get lesser sentences (it's possible that they do or have in the past). But I think things may be getting better and that even privileged men may serve longer sentences.

Respectfully and sincerely, I certainly understand why you might have a different view. I'm known as a PollyAnna.

IMO.
I was trying to be cautious due to the sensitive nature of suicide. AM's power has been stripped from him. I'm speculating that he won't spend much time in prison, not that he will be set free. I'm thinking he might think he has a chance at an appeal but once that ship sails he's off to hell where he belongs. Again, just speculating MOO. I'm not wishing anyone will commit suicide, I just think he will.

I wonder if he might be considered quite valuable by other inmates for his legal knowledge.

Very glad the right verdict was made. The jurors are free to speak now, aren't they?

I want to take a moment of silence on the crazy train for those fallen PM and MM please rest in peace now that we have your killer behind bars. Also want to give BM a blessing in hopes that he will find his way through all this because as of now he is a man on an emotional island. We celebrate and at the same time bow our heads in our own time and pray for the healing of those lives destroyed by this man.
Amen

Yup had to keep an eye on you at time lol, good times and thank you for being a great member to our crazy train club. We can add your drink to our selection and be on hand when you stop in.
@Edvis
Thank you for keeping things light hearted here on the threads. The subject matter was very dark and depressing at times. It was wonderful to have you and others who could make us smile during such sad, sad case.

I think Alex will relish his new role in prison because he will be able to wield power there. Not only other inmates will be looking to him for legal advice, and for help writing legal briefs, but prison staff will too. They may also be reaching out to him to ask for referrals to good attorneys and other professionals about various things. I think staff and maybe even other prisoners will elevate him above regular prisoners for that reason. Think of Tim Robbins character in the Shawshank Redemption. I know that was fiction, but similar stuff happens in real life.

Alex will be bragging to his family about how great his life is in prison and how everyone looks up to him even the gang members. Again, when he gets to actual prison.

It's remarkable how killers are mostly getting busted on digital evidence these days. If not for the snapchat video with his voice on it, there was no case.

Also, far from a conspiracy against him, the initial investigation almost flubbed the case (seems to be a theme where powerful white guys are concerned). Clearly based on the timeline, the guns and murder clothes can not have been far away. Either at the house, or his parents, or along the route like the phone (not really possible?) These are the only two places he went. Why did proper searches not happen in the first 24 hours to recover them?

Old boy should have been removed from the crime scene ASAP and not allowed back there.

This is spot on analysis. He staged the crime scene and manufactured a false alibi.

Not all evidence was recovered precisely because he did that. The fact that he was staging and creating false evidence is the proof beyond reasonable doubt.

Sometimes I feel like evidence gets priced in. As if video of him at the crime scene in the moments before the murders is not overwhelming evidence of guilt!

MOO here. I agree with you. Some of his family members will keep his commissary acct. funded which will aid in bartering. Plus, he's got a bargaining chip being a former attorney who can help his cellies with their appeals and law problems. He will earn many meat sticks and bags of chips, and probably get back into drugs. I know no one wants to hear he'll probably be fine in prison, but he knows how to manipulate people better than most. One thing though, he better not cheat the wrong person in there. All JMO.

Six weeks of mucking about and it really came down to: three people went to the kennels, only one came back alive and he lied about being there.

Bubba and Paul “The Little Detective” were the unknowing heroes of this case. Without that Snapchat AM probably would not have even been charged.

May Alex rot.
