SC - Susan Smith engaging in phone sex with sugar daddies in anticipation of parole - July 2, 2024

I would be too, to make sure she didn’t get out, but wow, how sad and traumatic :(
He shouldn’t be compelled to have to go through that. PB should be every 5 at the least in her case. 10 would be sufficient IMO.

bye Susan, enjoy the slammer!

Thank Jesus, I hope she never gets out. Heck the parole board looks like they are crying. IMO
It's a shame that she gets to control the lives of so many people every two years for parole board hearings.

So unfair! I wondered when ss would be eligible for parole again. Thought it would be at least in four years. Two years is insane. So sorry for David Smith and the families of these precious babies who never had a chance w/ss.

I can still remember Sharon Tate's family at parole boards [over the years] going through this same crap.

Edited: four years would be too soon!

Personally, my son was born in 1993. And he has lived a wonderful, exciting life. He has added so much joy to my life and the lives of others.

Susan Smith denied herself of so much. As much as she denied her children the right to live their lives. I wonder if she realizes how much she denied herself. She could have just dropped off the boys at their Dad's house, and left. Zero drama.

I have much respect and admiration for David Smith. He endured the unthinkable. jmo

David Smith just arrived to Susan Smith’s parole hearing. He is her ex husband and the father of the boys she murdered. He wanted the death penalty and now 30 years later has to see her again as she asks the South Carolina parole board to free her.

That didn’t take long.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the Tate's. They did it for a VERY long time. It seems so very unfair to the victim's families but it's part of the process unfortunately.

If the person coming up for parole hasn't changed in over 30 yrs, I don't think an extra 2 yrs is going make a stitch of difference. If anything it just allows the person to work on the BS'ing skills for 2 yrs so they can try to pull one over on the board when their next hearing comes up on the calendar.

Parole denied...ahahaha. Bye Susan!

Quickest parole hearing on record.

"Susan Smith"......"NO"......next.

Given her response I’m led to think that she expected to get out. She should have read the violent crime parole stats in S.C. There are other cases in her same county before those laws changed where the people have been going to parole hearings for years to get turned down.

Same ol' Susan Smith. Cry with no tears and only when people are watching. Who could possibly believe her wailing and no weeping.

I'm in SC and have family that was living in Union at the time. I remember the case so well because the boys were found on the day of my wedding rehearsal. I'm glad it she was denied. She doesn't deserve to ever get out. I imagine they will let her out one day, but not today.

I also wish he could be spared, but in a way, it's something he can do as a father to those boys. Odd way to think of it, I suppose, but perhaps it feels fatherly in a way.

Still, wish this didn't have to happen again.
