While an interstate traveler or accidental hit and run are possibilities in my mind, I do find the husband's behavior somewhat odd. He also alludes to the fact that she sometimes takes her cell phone but did not this time. That stuck out to me.

I find the behavior and interview odd as well, but that doesn't mean he is a suspect or person of interest, just a Personal Observation.
The totality of the interview is what makes it odd to me.

I assumed this was due to seeing what was later found at home, i.e phone, etc

I think something happened to her.
A few of the statements seems very off to me and what was being loaded into the truck . I know I can't go down this path but that sentence bothered me.

Well, her husband was arrested at a Traffic Stop for marijuana....
