If you watch the video the reporter at the scene says almost off hand that the roads were “graded” Thursday (well before the sheriffs got there) removing any possible tracks. She says this is unusually for that area and in my opinion it adds to the probability this was premeditated.

Who graded the road? Did they see her car? Can I ask how you know the bf is a tattoo artist? I looked for a facebook page for Suzette but could not find one. Also, co-workers are speaking out, but nothing from family. Wonder if she has any locally?

Knox,

I should say, I found this forum looking for more information about my friends death. I’m familiar with the family and no the divorce wasn’t friendly, but I don’t want this to sound like an accusation, it was a pretty normal divorce in my opinion, they just didn’t agree on custody arrangements, and you know, who does?

Sounds like the county graded the road, but the reporter didn’t say if they saw her car. Suzy didn’t have a public FB page but someone here found her LinkedIn profile. Her family is local to SC, and I’d rather not go into much more about that.

Thank you, whenever something bad happens, though usually not so close to home, I spend a ton of energy finding out every little thing I can to help me understand it, and finding all of you here really has been helpful for me.

I understand you don't want to share some personal information. But can you tell us about Suzette?

Certainly, well first of most people call her Suzy, she was never fond of Suzette. It’s already been reported that she has two kids, a boy and a girl, with her ex husband. I heard she recently took them to Disney. They certainly weren’t a “upper middle class” family but she did her best to make their lives special. I said before her current boyfriend is a tattoo artist. I think they met when she got a huge tattoo from “Gargoyles”, the TV show. She was a bit of a geek. She also had a tattoo of Picasso’s “ The Crying woman,” she said she admired its depiction of suffering. She could seem like a really “ carefree” person on the surface but she was really a very thoughtful and deeply emotional person. I’m sure I’m leaving important stuff out but yea, that’s Suzy.

Thank you for sharing, I'll honor that and call her Suzy too. She sounds like a lovely person.

Her poor kids, my heart is breaking for them. I hope they are in a loving place right now.

Had to Google "grading":

"Grading in civil engineering and landscape architectural construction is the work of ensuring a level base, or one with a specified slope,[1] for a construction work such as afoundation, the base course for a road or a railway, or landscape and garden improvements, or surface drainage. The earthworks created for such a purpose are often called the sub-grade or finished contouring (see diagram)."
