Sylvia Ann Brooks is believed to have walked away from her residence with an unknown direction of travel. Brooks was last seen wearing a white/blue/pink house coat with black slip-on shoes. She may be in need of medical attention.

Deputies said 63-year-old Sylvia Ann Brooks, who has been missing, is now considered endangered due to her age and health condition.

LE said they've searched all around Cherry Johnson Road, Oliver Road, Alligator Road and other areas in the Savannah Grove community.

Brooks was last seen in the early morning hours on Sunday, June 19, at her residence on Cherry Johnson Road in the Savannah Grove community of Florence.

Sylvia Ann Brooks, 63, of Effingham, was last seen in the early morning hours on Sunday at her home. She is believed to have left the residence on foot.

Brooks is approximately 5′5″, 200 lbs.

According to family members, Brooks suffers from a number of health-related issues, including autism, hypertension and diabetes.

"We have used K9s, drones, helicopters and every other conceivable investigative tool that we know," Nunn said. "Initially tracking K9s were utilized, we have also utilized k9s specially trained to detect odor of human being decomposition."
Both searches failed to find Brooks.

Nunn said investigators are working closely with the family and haven't turned up anything that would make them suspicious of her disappearance.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A family is offering a reward for any information that could help them find a loved one who hasn’t been seen in nearly three months.

Sylvia Brooks, 63, of Effingham disappeared from her home on Cherry Grove Road during the early morning hours of June 19.

Authorities believe she left home on foot.

They said that she suffers from a number of health concerns, which include diabetes, autism and hypertension. Investigators believe she is endangered.

Her family is offering a $2,000 for information that will lead to her location.

She is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

Anyone with information on Brooks’ whereabouts is asked to contact investigators at 843-665-2121, ext. 395.
