This organization must have some new information.
In response to the disappearance of 28-year-old Broadway star Zelig Williams, "We Are the Essentials," a nonprofit group consisting of private investigators, former law enforcement officers, and veterans, has joined the search. Williams has not been seen since Oct. 3.
Christine McLaughlin Barber, Williams' aunt, recounted the moment the family knew something was wrong. "Around 9:50 Thursday morning, he left just normally as he would," she said. "About ten minutes later, we received an SOS ping from his phone from one of his friends in New York, indicating a crash." However, upon further investigation, they discovered that it wasn't a crash, and when Williams did not return home that night, their concern deepened.
I've been thinking about the SOS alert. A few sources mention that the family was able to determine that it wasn't from a crash and that's why they didn't report him missing right away.
From an October 7th article on WACH Fox 57:
I can't find any clarification about this. How did they know it wasn't from a crash when the car hadn't yet been found? Did the friends in New York know something?
That would make the most sense, but I find it strange how it was worded in other places. If the SOS alert came at 10:10am and the family found out about it soon after, why did they not contact the police right away? I am not passing judgement at all, I just feel that we are missing a piece of information here.I thought articles shared that they determined he wasn’t in a crash after they found his vehicle parked and observed there to be no damage to it.
Curious to what makes them believe this, esp the foul play?We do not believe that Zelig is in the water and we ABSOLUTELY believe that there is foul play related to his disappearance.”
