"Science is just Science" CA quote

  • #21
What she said was "Science is just science. Nothing is 100%".

In other words, no matter WHAT evidence is presented to her, even DNA, she will not believe it. She will claim that because it's only 99.99883% accurate, she is going to cling to the 0.000056% as proof that Caylee is alive. She's setting the stage to deny any and all physical evidence that comes out at the trial.

So according to this theory of hers, we can ignore and discount all the scientific proof that Kobi presents for the defense.

Hmm, ignore all the scientific proof for the defense, sounds like a great idea, Janis. You are so clever. But, come on. You and I both know CA will only endores whatever evidence proves her daughter innocent. Sad, isn't it.

Months ago in an interview she also called it "HOCUS POCUS". *snort*

Is that anything like the Voodoo Science? Maybe we need a glossary of scientific terms for the upcoming trial.

I'm not an RN but I agree with you. Even Kobi... who is brilliant, I hear... says that none of the scientific evidence is 100%. Cindy is speaking the truth, even though we don't like it.
I said before that she would not believe the evidence until they show her Caylee's little body. And with so much time passed, she won't believe it because there will be nothing identifiable about it, UNLESS there are clothes that are recognizable on the skeleton.
Sad, but that is her only hope... and she will cling to it until she draws her last breath.

Do you think Cindy would be taking this position on scientific evidence if someone other than Casey had killed Caylee? Do you think if the police provided 99.9% proof that some other person killed Caylee, that she'd scoff at it and say that it means nothing? I don't. I think she'd be screaming from the rooftops for that person to get the death penalty, based on the scientific evidence presented to her. THEN it would be valid and believable to her.

And that's what makes her statement about scientific evidence totally NOT credible to me.

science n. system of knowledge gained by systematic research and organized into general laws: specific field of systematic knowledge: skill, proficiency...hmmmm...let me see...educated nurse...hmmm...oh yea! Now I remember! Anthony speak!!!!!

Science is just Science..............

and Denial is just a river..............

You want science? Car smells like there's been a dead body in the damn trunk.

Dead body? There was PIZZA in the trunk. You all know how hot it is. I challenge anybody to do an experiment. Leave pizza in a hot trunk for how many days has it been? 17? 19? Yeah, do that and you'll know what that smells like. (Science).

Ooops. Current docs? There was a pizza BOX and no pizza.

SCIENCE!!

yea right, why doesn't she take a big white circle, paint it 99.9999% red and see if she can hit the sliver of white (that you wont even be able to see!) with a dart!

snort :furious:
she disgusts me!! such denial... i am so past feeling sorry for her. at some point you have DO WHAT IS RIGHT CINDY! STOP LYING FOR CASEY! Think about Caylee for a minute. What about her? Does she deserve this shroud of deceit and lies? ugh

I guess it is why they call it "practicing Medicine", too. Doesn't she realize the same science is responsible for putting a roof over her head, taking care of George, and feeding into Casey's overindulgent life? I bet if they told Cindy she was suffering from breast cancer that she would take them at their word instead of risking that low percentage they could be mistaken so prefer to do nothing if it came to her own life.

I wonder what she'll think of science when it's used to convict her daughter.

Oh well, prison is just ...prison.

I'm really sick of hearing from this woman. It's exhausting listening to her rationale, reasoning and twisted wording. nothing she has said at ALL has ever made any sense.

How can a RN make such a hypocritical remark, when science is a system of aquired knowledge :waitasec:

Science is science- as a nurse she would know that things like the odor signature is not proven science!

If you read all the documents they even say it themselves.
But people only see what they want to see, it seems.
One day it might be as accurate as DNA testing, but at this point it is in the research phase, has not been attempted by anybody else, let alone reproduced with the same results.
If you look it up you will find Vass' research in practically every science journal out there. And there are over 400 compounds accociated with human decomp. They identified how many in KC's car? less than 30! And the main chemical compound found in human decomp is fluoride which was not present.
He theorises that its because a young child would not have been exposed to fluoride long enough for it to be present in tissue and bone. But it is an unproven theory.he says so himself.

I dont believe CA would question the science of DNA, since she knows that it has been proven and reproduced countless times.

Its like a nurse saying, hey heres a new trial drug for breast cancer for you to try. Its not proven to be effective yet, and that is why its a trial drug. Because we've got nothing else, lets give it a go, its worth a try.

We haven't seen the test results of the stain in the trunk, and if they're damaging, I doubt we'll hear anything about them before trial.

Because we aren't hearing anything about the stain...you can bet it is damaging, imo. (Just like Annie's testimony!)

I'll take the "untested" science over the science fiction the Anthony camp is putting out there.

I would say to Cindy" It is what it is!"

I forget where I read/heard it, but Cindy said nobody knew that car as well as she did. She knew every crook and cranny and every stain in it. She said there were NO new stains.

no, no. read it again. There was much more - but that 30 couldn't be explained away as possibly anything else - a completely different ballgame than what you stated.

Where have I heard that Cindy-ism before? Oh! I know! She was going to look in "every nook and cranny for her granddaughter."

Tick tock. We're still waiting.

I seriously wonder what they think when they see themselves on TV and all the stupid remarks they make . Don't they realize how foolish they look?

Have you read the emails from Cindy's brother and Mother? She obviously either doesn't realize how stupid she looks or doesn't care.
I used to wonder why there was no one from her imediate family with them or supporting them but now after reading the emails that were exchanged, I know why they are not there. They have done thier best to get thru to her, to no avail. They are as much of a lost cause at this point as Casey is. No getting thru to any of them. Logic and reason is beyond thier comprehension. Fantasy and denial is how they deal with life.
