Hughes County Sheriff’s Office searching for missing man from Blunt

The Hughes County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 39-year-old Blunt man who has not been seen since March 5, 2025.

According to reporting from Dakota Radio Group News, deputies are still searching for Curtis James, who was last heard from around 9:30 pm on March 5.

Deputies conducted a search of James’s home in Blunt on March 7, where they found James’s cell phone and other personal items.

Sheriff Patrick Callahan reported that a drone and teams from the Blunt Volunteer Fire Department conducted searches in the area, but James was not found.
