The Sioux Falls police is requesting the public's help in finding a missing 60-year-old woman.

Kay Flittie was supposed to leave Sioux Falls and drive to Arkansas on Tuesday but she did not arrive, according to Sam Clemens in an emailed release. A missing person's report was made Friday.

Flittie's car was found on I-90 near exit 352 in Hanson County during the missing person's investigation, according to Clemens.

I literally just got home from Sioux Falls about an hour ago. It is cold and windy and rainy, really unpleasant. If she was headed to Arkansas, it doesn’t make much sense as to where her vehicle was found in Hanson County. That location is east of Sioux Falls, where obviously to get to AR, you’d be going south out of Sioux Falls.

Is her phone shut off? What transpired during the phone call I assume Kay made, unless it was someone else using her phone? And the report of seeing a woman walking on the freeway is very concerning. So dangerous from multiple standpoints. Was she going to visit family or friends in AR?
So many questions.

Endangered missing advisory issued for South Dakota woman

To Note
A family member received a call from Kay later in the afternoon on April 5 that originated from a rural area in Hanson County, South Dakota. Hanson County is west of Sioux Falls, and would be out of the way on the route to Arkansas.

This is my mother. And yes there is so many unanswered questions still. But she was last seen on I 90 which is wrong direction broke down and confused a person reported. She had her phone it was pinged to her last location where police found her car. It was not in her car. Today's been the 11th day without any word from her. She had a stroke a while ago I believe maybe start of dementia or other mental illness. And history of drug abuse. But I'm 43 I have always been able to contact her even hundred of miles away. She was coming to my house bc I'm having serious health issues. She is unable or not allowed to contact us. Please keep her story going. My family has been out walking the highway. A police search is scheduled on Saturday. She has no money no car and on foot last seen 11 days ago....and weather is normal SD weather. I had to join to answer u but please my mom is missing please keep her story fresh. View attachment 339961 View attachment 339962
Please know your mother and your family are in my prayers. Earlier I’d said she was headed east but I meant west, still neither direction is toward Arkansas. Please consider becoming a verified insider for this thread. Everyone here is pulling for your mom.

RIP Kay.
I watched Nightwatch on TV the other day and saw the EMT's deal with a person who was unresponsive and then very confused and they thought it was from an exhaust leak in his truck = CO2 poisoning. Asking any experts here if Kay left her car and appeared confused I wonder if something like that could have happened to her? Would she have been able to even make it where she was found or would she have been down much sooner?
