And obviously she never asked where she was either since she had been there for months and she didn't know.
Nice touch to bring the Barbie Dolls and the Frozen trinket box to the interview though.
Yeah, right???

They didn't find her again today.

They didn't find her again today.

I did not know what to hope. On the one hand, I wanted her found and hoped they would but then if they did, any slim hope would be gone...

So they found nothing?

“Today's beautiful weather led to good conditions to continue our search for Serenity. While we did not find her, we are very optimistic for future searches.

We used about 65 people, eight K9 teams and 1 air asset to search the area around Rockerville.

Sheriff Kevin Thom is committed to finding Serenity and plans will be made this week for the next stages of the investigation.

We appreciate the support and a huge “thank you” to all of today’s help.

The Gaslight fed us again today and we can’t thank them enough for all they have done.”

I thought they made all of the plans while waiting for this beautiful weather? More planning? Okay. I best sit on my hands in here. Sigh. Bigger sigh. Ugh.

So what is this suppose to mean: "We are very optimistic for future searches"
A 9yr old girl, in a long sleeve tee shirt, out in 20 degree temps could not possibly have gone that far on her own. And with all the K-9 teams searching, they did not find her.

Something other than 'she ran away and succumbed to hypothermia' must have happened.

I totally identify with every word you just said...

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, so just one last time: I hope they are 100% sure every nook and cranny on the property has been searched. And by that I mean someone actually going inside every structure on the facility grounds.

For example, I wouldn’t assume Serenity wouldn’t have gotten inside a storage shed just because it’s supposed to be locked at all times, and only the maintenance staff has keys to it.

If a building has no windows, and/or lights are not working, make sure to bring a flash light.

I also think that each structure should be searched at least twice by two different people.

I would think that all of this has been done already, but just in case.

Optimistic that they will HAVE future searches, perhaps? Of course, first they need to make the plans for them. Then they will be definite searches. MOO and JMO :)

This returns my thoughts to an earlier mention by someone (forgive my inability to recall who) about any trash bins located outdoors. They would have checked anything like that also, I would suppose?

Very good point. She might have decided to hide inside one.

Such has happened before when a place was allegedly already searched more than once from top to bottom. I read of such a case not too long ago...

Why didn't the bio mother/parents give this girl up for a traditional adoption?

Hmmmm. With all of the discussion about Serenity’s ‘condition’, IIRC, she would have happily jumped into a passing vehicle, and told a whopper of a tale.

She would have no fear of this stranger. And maybe, just maybe, she is alive and well “Somewhere, Out There, Beaneath the Pale Moonlight”, perhaps enjoying her newly created life.

You, along with others, have revitalized my hope. However misguided I might be. IMHO.

Imo her body would have been found with all of these searches. She has not been found and I think there is more to this story. I think there are people that know a lot more related to this. I have a feeling there is more to this story. Things are just not adding up.

I think the searchers need a few more days to rule in the running away and succumbing to the environment. She is tough, and built for hard times because of the hardships in her upbringing. Hope for he best and hold it close, that her experiences helped her in some way.

I am not sure what happened but I totally agree, things have NEVER added up.

Do you not agree that a 9 year olds body would not have been found at this point after the many massive searches? I mean how far could she have gotten that 100’s of searches and dogs have not found her.! She is 9 for goodness sake. I have to go with foul play at this point.
