Well on the positive side she admitted it. I hope she told the cops. Why is she telling this to a reporter? Doesn't make her mom of the year, KWIM? :waitasec:

I too have been curious about the river for quite some time now. For several days I've leaned a little towards the mother's possible involvement and just looking at her body stature, and her mobility I feel that if she was infact involved, that she would have disposed of this child in an easy manner, not something complicated like a long walk through a wooded area. Something as simple as finding the closest parking spot in a parking lot. Something she could drive up to or walk to.

The Missouri River is very easily accessible on both the North and South side near her home. If you go east of I-435 which is just about a mile to the east of the Irwin home, there are only a couple of places you can physically drive up to the river and actually walk up to it. I'd like to see them do a shoreline search for several miles to the east of Cheateau bridge.

How many casinos are on the east side of 435? I usually went to the ones on the west side. :) TIA

a big possibility! or hubby!

I think we can conclude that hubby wasn't home and that his alibi checked out. If cops told him he didn't need a poly, I'm guessing they know he wasn't home.

Wading would definitely not be a good idea. Running high and fast. Still lots of flood debris coming down. There are a few places, but definitely not easy at night to navigate. The river area around here is not developed. It is very rugged and has lots of damage from being flooded. The banks are not stable at all from what I can see when we go down to check the level. The bank has been severely cut out and has a steep drop off right now where the water washed out the bank and now has receded. Much easier to use the bridge if disposing in the river, but they are all pretty heavily traveled even at night.

If the erosion there is as much as it has been along the Missouri here in SD, then they would need to look more than a few miles. That little body would carry downriver fast. :(

To the locals, where is the Little Blue from the Irwins? Isn't that where Summer Shipp was found?

This sounds totally plausible. Do we know if she does or does not have a driver's license? Because I don't know how she could pull this off alone, and I don't suspect the dad was involved. What would their motive be together? I suspect the motive if it's just DB. JMOO. JMOO

SUmmer was found near M78 highway and 7 Highways just to the west of those intersections where the Blue River runs through. That area is around 3-5 miles to the north of the Missouri river.

Just for clarification Blue River is south of the Missouri River.

I am thinking the National Guard was called in in order to really make an effort to find Lisa or more evidence before the GJ meets.

Sorry if this has been posted before - but if someone were intent on abducting a baby (to keep) - wouldn't there be a purchase of a carseat? Maybe this is a stretch, but I'd look through nearby Wal-Mart records of car seat purchases 2 days before and 2 days after. Just a thought.

Just to add a bit more about the river access. The company I work security for owns the old sams town casino, which is just around the corner from the asphalt plant/grain elevator, also where the staging area was the first few days. There is very easy river access along there including by the train tracks. You can pull behind my building and open your car door and spit and it will land in the river. People fish there all the time, mostly people that know it's there. We run them off constantly. We also have exterior cameras all over the place, including behind the building by the river. I don't think anyone could have been anywhere near there during daylight, there are way too many people in and out of the area. But at night it is pretty sparse. My officers go down there several times a shift to patrol. The grain elevator area isn't equipped with cameras that I know of. We work them sometimes when we have suspicious people around. So it is possible that a person could drive their car right up to the rivers edge and chuck anything from their car and it would land in the river.

I said in another thread that we also had a dumpster fire Monday evening around 8pm. The cause is thought to be a cigarette butt thrown in to a dumpster full of leftover sterno cans. Detectives were at that location 2 days in a row but I don't think anything ever came of it. I think they just asked questions and didn't look around.

It might not be a bad idea to turn over your guy's video to law enforcement, whether there is something on it or not? Just to cover one more area. I don't how far back your video goes but I think it would be a good idea just in case?

I only have two questions for lanetta2. Do you think its possible your security cameras may have something of value for LE in this case? If yes have you given this information to them?
