Going OT for a bit to (largely) paraphrase some examples of texts. (Short texts are as is).

2/29.

11:51 pm. JA to TA. Ur garage door is open.
11:54. TA: close it.
11:57: JA: close it yourself. I'm halfway home.

2/28.

3:46. JA: give me ur associate #
3:48. JA: hurry
3:57. JA: never mind. Sorry.....

2/04/08, in the afternoon

Exchange about TA having lent her personal development CD's that he wanted back.

She tells him to relax. He says you obviously haven't lent out PD materials that never came back, and BTW, tape 6 that u returned was cracked. She says I offered to pay for it and u said it was ok. And anyway, I was telling u to relax because u were raising yr voice at me.

JA: " you should know I would never steal any of yr PD. The only thing i ever stole was a business card. Oh- and some frozen dinners."

TA: "I didn't say u would steal it. But when u have so many things happen..."

Same day, right after above.

4:28. TA: if u want to put in a 4 hour workweek u can (work on yr computer) while I change the tire. ( on her car or his?)

4:30. JA: I'll finish u in the nose.
4:34 . JA: just kidding. I love u and a very appreciative of yr endless generosity.

2/28, TA talking to a friend (I won't name).

He tells her that JA thinks she is "hot," that JA has told him she's "sexually attracted" to this friend and that if she "did girls" this friend would be it, that JA wants to get this girl in the sack.

The friend asks...is JA saying that because she wants to impress you or because she's curious?

TA: " who knows. With her, probably both.".

(me: lol)

Sky to TA, reassuring him repeatedly for days about 1st date with Mimi, then the 2nd, and giving him advice. When he tells her yet more time that he's nervous she texts him....

(Paraphrased, slightly)

Sky: " why? Because she's not a psycho? Because she doesn't sneak into yr room to watch you sleep? Because she's normal?"

(Will post more texts tomorrow). :)

Special Investigations

The Special Investigations Section (SIS) provides investigative support to law enforcement and consumer protection services of the Attorney General's Office, as well as to law enforcement agencies across the State of Arizona. SIS provides expertise in specialized areas of law covered under the Attorney General's statutory criminal jurisdiction, which is not usually available at other law enforcement agencies, including vulnerable adult abuse, consumer fraud, drug trafficking, human smuggling, environmental crimes, medical fraud, money laundering, white collar crimes, political corruption, youth tobacco enforcement, antitrust, high technology crimes and foreign prosecution of defendants who have fled to Mexico.

The sheriff was supposed to release JA's jail records after sentencing and then they were 'turned over to LE for investigation' (or words to that effect), I wonder if that could have anything to do with this investigation?

I hope so, that or the appeals donations. How can they claim indigency yet there is "allegedly" money for appeals? All I know is there are some people who should be skeered (sic) To name what is hot on SM..... MDLR, the Greek mystiques, and Auntie S. just to name a few.

I just don't see it. That section of the AG's office is pretty serious. JM wrote a book and the inmate doesn't like it - the COA is already handling that matter. Her attorneys are only guessing that there *might* be info in it that was sealed. Easy to settle - the COA can read it and determine fact. As for the record that the Superior Ct judge unsealed, that is going to an interesting legal decision IMO. The judge said it had nothing to do with her appeal. But again, COA will review & make a ruling - it's basically an authority question. But until they do, and there is a determination that there has even been any violation, why would the AG get involved in either of these issues? No this is some criminal matter that was committed during the trial or by someone connected in some way to it. It is also something that another LE agency wouldn't have the means to investigate, and serious enough for that section to look into it. JM's actions surrounding this book, or his use of info gained from the trial would be professional ethics concerns, not criminal fraud, money laundering, corruption of a state official, etc. - those are the types of crimes this section deals with.

eta: adding that it was interesting that the AG's office went to another Superior Court judge for this record, instead of JSS and that info surrounding the request and the record were sealed - may simply be who was available, but maybe not...

Good points.

The timing between the state's motion and the AA's book motion, only a couple days apart, seems too coincidental, but it is also possible that her AA's heard about the state motion to unseal, (unrelated to JM, as u think) threw themselves into a dizzy that the State was allowing JM to use sealed materials, and went charging off half-assed. Wouldn't be the first time for them. :D

ETA....I saw that it was a different judge, but there seems to have been a new and different judge for most matters listed on the docket.

The killer's attorneys contacted the "County Attorney" to raise issues about a specific ethical violation, rather than making a complaint to the Bar. That's interesting.

There also was a veiled threat IMO included in the book motion , which stated that it was a professional breach of conduct inviting sanctions for an attorney to "collaborate" with the press before a trial in generating pre-trial publicity which could taint a jury.

That one was specifically directed at him in his capacity as attorney, unlike the "violation" of using discovery material for any purpose other than a trial.

BBM I understood this "tainting the jury pool" charge to refer to the lead up of a guilty-phase do-over that the Perryville Princess thinks she's gonna get. JM didn't create pre-trial publicity the first time around.

Besides which, JM surely doesn't need an AG investigation into a future book. a) in the current form, there's no liability for anything, since the book doesn't exist and b) if something doesn't sit well with his office, JM could easily be told to not publish the book, with a short discussion in his boss's office. No heavy-duty super secret cover-blasting tax-eating detective squad required.

There's something else going down with this investigation and JA is trying to end-run it.

You're right, it does have to do with now, not the first trial. They're arguing that since it is possible the killer will win her appeal and receive a new trial, JM shouldn't be allowed to write anything in his book that isn't already known to the public ( but definitely not anything sealed OR unsealed but a product of discovery) lest he taint that (lol) jury pool in her future .

Every swipe Jodi takes at Martinez is going to dramatically increase his book sales. Smart move, Jodi: keep Juan in the public eye and make everyone want to read his book. Nothing like the words "ethical violations" to turn a book into a best seller, not to mention claiming certain details in the book weren't supposed to be revealed, not to mention if Jodi doesn't like something, everyone else (minus her peeps) is gonna eat it up. JM's publisher must be so thrilled with JA.

Yah, I'm not for sure what all the super duper investigation squad handles, since in fact it doesn't seem to have been all that interested in pursuing ...well a host of "infractions" by a mess of folks, that surely were of interest to a great many of us.

What made me think it might be JM was the AA going to the County Attorney rather than the Bar, but that could be another kettle of fish altogether, or at least the picked-over bones of a single fish that was too small to keep to begin with.

Tanisha Sorenson:

We had fun being scary for Halloween!! Harold nails took me hours to glue on his face and head. Unfortunately I watched all of Hellraiser scary movies when I was a little girl with my grandma Mummum she was so much fun. We loved scary movies, I did too until this scary crap happened to my brother now I can't watch anything with blood in it. The Saw Movies was another movie I watched before this happened to Travis. But I always thought Pinhead and Billy jigsaw were so creepy! So I thought we would be creepy. I ran out of time to do my makeup the way I wanted and had 10 mins to do it after spending hours on Harold. But it was fun everyone loved our costumes at the party we went to. Thank you all for your sweet comments , our family are all doing fantastic since this trial is done and over. We are living life to the fullest like Travis would of wanted . We still have health issues with Steven but he's doing better, just keep him in your prayers please. We love you all who have always been here for our family and still are!! Your support for Travis and our family will never go unnoticed or forgotten. Travis' Legacy of Love , Service and Fun lives on in us and all of you!

And then we have the butcheress who couldn't attend ANY party, hell she didn't even need makeup.

WOW, I couldn't have said it better than what this lady posted. Shaking like a Chihuahua... :happydance:

"There have been earthquakes reported in Arizona. First and most important I want to send prayers out to the innocent people there!!!!! I want to pray for those affected and the safety of all innocent victims!!! There was another kind of an earthquake this past weekend from Hodi having tantrums and raging in her cage from the release of Juan's book!!! Hodi is shaking like a chihuahua because now all of her dirty little secrets are being exposed. Evil monster will take on a whole new definition after reading the book! Your "fog" has certainly cleared at sentencing day and now your supporters fog will clear from reading the book. And that is what you are afraid of. No more control, lying, and manipulating!! Your family will know the truth as well. The whole world will see the diabolical evil monster that you are!!" ‪#‎GAMEOVER

Thanks so much for doing this: these texts shed a whole new light on what transpired. It's mindboggling, too, that JM specifically asked ALV if she had read these texts and she said she had and she used them to draw her conclusions.

Well, the public now has the TA texts that weren't available before, so there are a lot of cats out of the bag already.

He didn't smell a rat when she asked for his Associate #? Seems like he didn't respond. But he didn't object. Weird.

Also, for however many hundreds of thousands of text messages TA and JA had, 90% of them seem to have come from Jodi. TA's communications with others seem much more intimate (as in close, not sexual) and three-dimensional.

While I'm thinking of it, Jodi's claim that she did maid service for him has to have been a lie, since he didn't have any money.

Have you noticed how many things JA broke or ruined? TA explicitly mentions it in these texts. It's true she doesn't give a rat's 🤬🤬🤬 about other people's property, but was the breakage malice or stupidity? Did she break her own stuff? Did she break her other boyfriends' stuff?

Jodi is never not in a rage. She was already threatening TA in February? "Sorry, just joking...."

Sentencing LIES.

Jodi said at her sentencing that she had lots of relatives and many friends that would suffer greatly if she allocated and asked for the death penalty. If that was true where were they during the trial and at sentencing? Another lie that no one believed. The mother of the killer said the family didn't have the funds to be there, really? I thought the killer had all kinds of money, the sheriff said she spent over a thousand dollars a month in the commissary and she supposedly has thousands in an appeals fund. Guess she didn't want to give any to her family or friends to come see her.
Then we have Willmott claiming the state supporters leaked those bogus letters to the media. Do you think the judge knows about the killers mother trying to sell those letters to the National Enquirer? Willmott is as bad as the killer when it comes to lying.
When the killer talked to Troy Hayden after the verdict, she was really pissed. She claimed she had a witness to the abuse but her lawyers couldn't find him. That has to be Matt. He didn't want to be found. Just like her friend Patty. Patty told Jane V Mitchell that she did not support the killer and didn't want to testify because she couldn't help the killer. She said her life was threatened and they published her address and described her house. Those threats came from Calif. Nurmi didn't tell the judge about her not wanting to support the killer, did he? Jodi started the media circus and kept it going for years even after being convicted, so she has no ***** coming. She is just mad because the public didn't fall for her lies like Travis.

* For sure. She and/or her lawyers tried everything in their power to avoid her being exposed as a liar in real time (clearing the courtroom, testifying to a jury only, sealing testimony, nixing live television coverage, etc, etc). And probably also for the defense team to try and get away with stuff.

But that's what she gets for seeking out television cameras and going on a pre-trial media campaign. :D

The term "logically incongruous" certainly fits. I think the song Karma Chameleon describes her quite well, http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/cultureclub/karmachameleon.html

Also I kind of find it plausible that she originally was out to hurt the initial more local Alexander circle. One or two reporters were initially REMOTELY interested in her, (going to market her as a sensation akin to Casey Anthony), so when the trial is FINALLY underway, she keeps the ball rolling to further inflame anyone who 'judged her'/made statements for 5 years by gaining as much sympathy as she could by granting national interviews*. She must have been stewing inside jail, typical.

She's stupid enough to have orchestrated her own conviction this way as well. Unless she knew she wasn't going to get out. ... Does anyone else just figure she didn't ever believe she was going to get out... just more bull to piss off Alexanders and their friends? I mean I watched that interrogation with Detective Flores a few times, (I'm referring to one of them in particular, else her life-story drags on for what seems like 50 years). At one point Detective Flores leaves the room and she sighs in defeat and mutters, "you got me anyway, you brat." Like wtf??

Texts. Dec 6-9, 2007. Context: Travis had date with Lisa on Dec 5. His tires were slashed for the 2nd time that night; he spent the night at Lisa's house (she lived with her parents) because Lisa was so afraid.

BK's texts begin on the evening of Dec 6, and the very first one is from the killer to Travis.

12/6. 7:03pm. JA to TA: I need your help.

TA doesn't respond. He's texting with Lisa. She's worried what it will look like if anyone finds out he spent the night at her house. He's willing to tell people whatever she wants him to say.

Next he tells her he wants to come over later (late-late) and watch for the slasher. She doesn't want him to, out of concern he'll lose it if he's wrong that its Jodi and a slasher shows up, and she also doesn't want her parents dragged into this.

Travis gets upset. Tells Lisa he's spoken with Sam about filing a police report and she told him it won't help, the slasher needs to be caught in the act. And that if Lisa won't let him come over he has no chance "to make it right," " or to "apprehend someone who is making my life hell."

He tells Lisa that because he can't use his car he feels wide open to the slasher, and that he's "being railroaded to be helpless."

Lisa stands firm, with lots of apologies, and hopes that he isn't too upset with her. Travis tells her- no, I'm not upset with you. I understand why you won't, I see your point, it comes from a good place and you are a good person.

He says..I'm not upset with YOU, I'm upset because "its not fair to me." And, " I just hope you can see mine (POV). "

Lisa doesn't allow him to come over.

TA texts someone a bit later (unknown who, not Lisa): " I need a friend."

He also texts his roomie to tell him about 2d slashing and to park in the garage, just in case.

10:33pm. JA to TA. I have an idea! Call me when u get a sec!

(trying to check the date here on BK, but can't get in. the last text by JA might be on 12/7).

12 / 8.. 2:45 a.m.Travis returns from laying in wait for the stalker. he text Lisa: "nothing happened I'm safe and sound."

12 / 8. 6:57 a.m. JA to TA. are you okay?

10:14 a.m. Lisa to TA. I'm glad you're okay.

10:42 a.m. JA to TA. please tell me you're OK. I'm worried about you.

12-8. 12:14 p.m. JA to TA . got yr message I'm glad you're okay call you after church.

12:15 p.m. . TA to JA. I need that check its in your car in an envelope.

12:29 p.m. JA. I'm in church till 3:30. Call you afterward.

12/8. 4:28pm. JA to TA: look!! There's a rainbow in the east sky! Almost there (with the check he asked for at 12:15).

Meanwhile, Travis is organizing a "cookie eat" at his house , that evening at 8pm.. He invites 9 friends and tells them its OK to bring their friends . JA is not invited.

TA texts with Lisa non-stop about planning, flirts with her, tells her he's making a special cookie just for her.
