A quick 75 page user manual skim and one Google search later. No online access to call records. Either she was referring to accessing a list of calls on the Helio itself or she was full of it.

She seems to have forgotten the "call log on the internet" detail when she next spoke to Flores....

There was also never any evidence that they had a conversation about this stuff while she was in Yreka. She says they "talked hours and hours", but there's no evidence of this. And for sure LE would have had the call logs.

Please, some one who speaks tech, please explain if this is possible. Several times during the May 26 chat it seems like each of them is able to read what the other is writing as they write it.


Not just the example above. There seem to be times when Travis is reading something she is writing and commenting on it, yet whatever that might be doesn't appear in the Gchat.

When I'm chatting on line, it almost seems this way to me, but actually the party who is writing must use Send or return for the words to get sent? Presumably, TA wasn't Sending one word at a time.

If they were chatting in short bursts, the effect would be seeing the other party typing. TA often had series of short bursts.

Presumably, JA was writing him an email at the same time? And she's accusing him of distracting her with his chat?

My bad. Used shorthand to refer to pre and post booking for murder interviews in Yreka. The difference between the I was not there!!! and the ninjas did it!!! interviews.

TA had told her he was posting his comments on both the gmail chat and facebook and was watching for her reply on both because one or the other program was posting her responses faster.

She was actually watching/reading him type his comments(and had to wait to reply until he was done in case he changed the comment/question before he hit enter), as in she was using a keylogger type of program just like when you call your tech support and give them permission to operate your pc(give it commands) to repair it from their end.

I've never used gchat but on other chat clients, when the person you're chatting with is typing, it reads out 'so-and-so is typing...' and when they hit send or enter it appears on your screen. Who knows, maybe gchats show up as they're being typed, hopefully someone who has used it will weigh in on how that one works.

She keeps telling him she's writing the email, as the chat goes on and on. And on. At one point, for example, he asks her-- THAT is what took you so long? like that....as if he could read what she was writing someplace other than on the chat.

I read that as she sent him an e-mail during the chat, and that was what his remark was about (she was supposedly taking a lot of time writing a long e-mail and whatever she sent wasn't anything near the length she made him think she was writing).

That is really significant, IMO, if accurate.

What it means is that he wasn't waiting for anything else, there wasn't a bomb in the email...no stolen Helio, no PPL scam.

He would have already known her "incriminating" news, and it would have been relayed in her phone call.

But.......that can't be right? Because at the very end he is still demanding she send it, still waiting for it, and still accusing her of not really writing one? iirc?

This whole "BMW engine fell apart" story never made sense to me. But could they have verified with UHaul? JA gave Flores some BS about how the attorney and the insurance company hadn't got around to addressing the damage and they were very vague, which doesn't ring true at all. Auto insurance companies assess the situation right away. Otherwise, you could drive the car off and create more damage, and they'd never be any the wiser. The insurance company would have been Travis', not Jodi's. I don't believe Jodi even had auto insurance.

This brings up yet another thing that has me confused: If the BMW was damaged to the point where it was sitting waiting to be either repaired at great expense or trashed, why did Jodi try to lay claim to it with TA's estate executor? Why would she want a vehicle that was either never going to function properly or would cost a lot of money to get it functional? Would her trying to claim the vehicle with the executor be a way to get the car titled in her name solely so she could collect on an insurance claim for the damage?

I don't know what a used BMW would have been worth in 2008, especially a seriously damaged one. Enough to make that scheme worth her while or not?

Didn't she also try to say Travis would have wanted her to have Naps? I am not sure where I heard that but IIRC she did try to claim that. Can you imagine if she had been successful with that? At least the pup dodged that bullet!

Killer to Flores: He was watching something on You Tube, some stupid video. He’s like, “You gotta’ see this,”
and I’m watching and I’m like, “This is so boring. What’s the point of that?” He’s like, “Just stupid, pointless stuff.”
I’m like, “Okay.” I guess everyone’s got to have their time to veg out being so driven and deep as he is for business, which is fine that he watches stuff like that.


The YouTube video “Daft Bodies- Harder, Stronger…” was played 3 times on the early morning of June 4. The video lasts exactly 3.42 minutes.

It was played at: 4:08 am, then at 4:11 am, then at 4:15am.

I agree with you a lot can happen in a few minutes, and that we don’t know when she arrived at T’s house. I’m not entirely sure what we are disagreeing about relating to the video watching, or if we are at all.

What I’ve said-- and feel sure about- is that she did NOT arrive while Travis was watching these videos, and it is this specific video she says Travis was watching when she arrived.

She said people dancing around with foil on their heads. You may have to listen to more of it because she backs up and explains things more than once.

I was just pointing out that she might have arrived before the start of watching the videos. And then they watched the videos. Then she wanted to go to bed, and he said he had to check on something, but she could go ahead and go up. Speculation, but it could be as simple as that instead of her sneaking in and randomly watching daft punks or without daft punks being already pulled up and left unattended at the computer for her to read it, or watch it. That's why I pointed out that she said the people were dancing with foil on their heads. It proves she didn't know what it was, but she had seen it. She admitted she'd seen it without even knowing if it was significant or not. Same as when she said whatever about the floor cleaner.

It's actually an awesome song I never would have known about without Travis. Kanye West remixed it. I am in love with that song due to travis.

They went to the New Mexico balloon festival in Albuquerque (unless she Photoshopped the photos). That festival is in early October, IIRC.

Sorry to be confusing, I was including all October trips when I said "by October." Should have said "through" instead. Whatever trips there were.

From the pattern of the texts, it does seem as though JA was reading texts/chats while they were in process, because she keeps trying to insert herself back into Travis' mindshare exactly then.

I don't know what way she can see his chat or what it says without being logged into his account or invited to the chat. Do you? I don't know if two people in two different locations can be logged into the exact same account at once. Can they?

Couldn't it be as simple as she knows the time of night Travis likes to chat or talk and so she's trying to be the one he chats or talks with? Could it be that she knows he's doing it with someone, if not her, and it makes her contact him more out of jealousy that she's alone, not chatting, but imagining what he's doing at times he was usually engaging with her?

It was definitely possible to delete lines from GChat exchanges in 2008.

She could do so by deleting the entire chat, then restoring it line by line, excluding what she wanted to delete.

Glad I don't gchat and never did if it can let people alter my words. That's dangerous.

Where do I find a link to what google allowed in 2008?

I am very interested to know if they notified people that they allow their chats with others to be edited and altered by the other party.

I don't know, I'd never heard of checking your call history online, here's the link to the Ocean Helio phone owner's manual if you want to look through it and see if it mentions anything about that:

in my experience, it's the cell phone company that decides that, not the phone. THen again, I believe Helio was like Metro and had its own cellular service. In my experience pre 2010, I couldn't check a call log until the month was over. It would be on my bill. I don't know if cell companies have in the last five years or so made it so you can check up to the minute. Oh, they have. It's called caller-id. And there's a call detail, right there in your phone. So I don't know why anyone would have the need to check back 10 days on the internet, unless they clear their call log in their phone all the time.

It's another lie of Jodi's. She knows by heart when she called him, and she knows the records will bear it out. That's why she mentioned the records. She also said she texted him--probably said that for the same reason because she didn't know Verizon wouldn't keep texts logs for that long.

I can look up my phone records on my AT&T wireless log-in. It shows phone number, date, time and duration of the call.

Do you happen to remember if it was like that back in 2008?

I ask because I remember getting mad back then when I needed to find someone's phone number, but my records with Cingular would only show me the previous month.

Note that the chair is beside that table next to the bed and the window. It's the same place in both photos. Jodi took the picture of travis from the chair. Travis took the pic of Jodi from the foot of the bed.

If you can't see that, then are you saying there are two sets of sex pics with two different KY bottles that managed to show up in both sets of pics? And one or two pics from each set of sex photos just happened to-- 1, have the white bottle and 2, to survive the deletion on the memory stick and some of them randomly got metadata somehow from the murder day, even though both shoots are pre-move?

That's a lot of stretching to make these pics not happen on June 4th.

I was watching the retrial again. I hadn't really watched Dr. Horn or Mendez because I didn't think I'd hear anything new. It seemed that Dr. Horn had new information. I have to listen to him on the main trial again, but for one, I thought he'd said the wound across the belly was an incised wound. On the retrial he said stab wound.

I also didn't recall about the way the bruising was on Travis' right leg. Martinez thinks it's from kicking, apparently, but I imagined it this time around being from the silver rail thing at the bottom of the shower as if he might have hurt himself on it, trying to get out of the shower as she stabbed him, which might explain how she started stabbing in his head and got him low on the floor and trying to crawl to lock himself in the toilet room. It just seems to me he was trying to do that since so many wounds were inflicted at his head and splatter goes into the toilet room. Just a guess. She could have kicked him, but I always wonder how he got out of the shower--walking, fumbling, falling, crawling. How?

Mendez--

I must not have been paying attention in first trial, but in retrial, it became apparent to me that Jodi used a 2004 ID when she rented that car with an OLD picture of her. Mendez determined that the ID was to expire in 2009. He couldn't determine the issue date. JM asked him if it had been rubbed off the license and I think he insinuated that it was from 2004--before an objection.

I had wondered about the license because I didn't think Jodi was organized and responsible enough to get a Yreka license right away. I wonder if she'd been using that old license the whole time she was in AZ. We have to be living here in my state for 30 days and then we are breaking the law not to have this state's license--I believe.

Why does she say that the Ninja's had her family's address? What's the likelihood her car was registered in Yreka? She hadn't lived there in years--unless her parents bought her that car and that's the reason it never went back to the bank. They were ultimately responsible for the car as co-signers and agreed to keep paying it if she brought herself home.

Nurmi tried to make it as if the budget guy was remembering blond hair from the photo of the license. But on the license, it says she had brown hair....JM pointed out that we, the licensee, fills out that kind of info about hair and eye color and weight. I guess the DMV doesn't dispute it or maybe when she renewed her license and needed a picture, they kept the old info even though the picture now showed a blonde? I can't recall if you have to update all the info when renewing. We renew here like once a decade, and they have a picture of me on mine from over 10 years ago, because I always renew online. Bad system, I'd say.

Here's the pic. I don't know how mendez couldn't figure out the dates on it. I can't see scratch marks, but look at her signature. Bizarre.

Also, I forgot. Juan acted like that might not have even been the license she gave at the rental place. Maybe Columbo didn't copy it for the file. Love the names in this trial. Columbo, joey citizen.

JM also said again that a man had been with Jodi. Didn't jodi keep saying her SIL dropped her off? Who is this man? I don't believe it was her brother. Maybe it was.

In the top pic the bottle doesn't look very white to me and it looks quite a bit larger than the one beside her.
