@PB - cosmetic surgery - if I had the money - I'd be going straight to Christie Brinkleys doctor because for 58 years old - that woman looks FANTASTIC.

Maybe the 48 hours show to be aired in June will have a discussion possibly - (maybe?) having the Gilbert family discussing why the police did not do a inch by inch search in THAT marsh where sg was eventually found expired.

and one can only hope that the Gilbert family goes into detail about the 911 call they were FINALLY allowed to listen to and also possibly go into detail about the Medical Examiners forensic findings on shannan's skeleton.

I think, it's a little bit more complex. Like politicians, also pimps need some low level psychopathic mindset (something like a 30% psychopath). With that mindset comes a wide variety of perks, for example the basics of social mimicry. You can see that in politicians when their use of language automatically adapts to different minorities. Those guys know, when they are expected to show certain emotions, but they simply don't feel them and then shades come handy to make people think, they cry under them. Which btw is such an old joke, that even the writers of Dexter got it.

Perhaps. I just meant the functional reason. There may have also just been the subconscious reasoning of the "too cool for school" type attitude...people who wear shades indoors and such. Whatever the case, I have not seen that show for a while now, but do not remember anything that looked like he was feigning crying behind those shades. Who knows. And I guess it really doesn't matter anyway :)

Peter, what are you saying?

Just a sidenote. Something with that word play triggered a memory here. Like introducing the wife as ex-girlfriend or the husband as ex-boyfriend. Nothing important, I sidetracked myself.

Peter, were you a pimp prior to your writing career?
:floorlaugh:

Nope, I was project manager in the IT industry. Which is probably similar but with less sex.

Buahahaha, that'S so cool. Didn't think about those. Must be because I reached (against all expectations) an age, sunglasses can't hide anymore. And no, that won't lead me to #8 in the list ... no no no!
Honestly, that made my day!

Peter
#9 reason to wear sunglasses - to disguise drug use, dilated pupils or red eyes etc.

Glad to see everyone in a more jovial mood today. Maybe we should get back on topic before we all get in trouble :giggle:

And yet another reason to wear sunglasses inside during an interview:

To hide lying eyes.

Then how did she get there? If she didn't get there on her own, someone placed her there. Either way someone got through the bramble.

Don't forget the trails that we could see in all the early google aerials and Seaslug's aerials. Anyone with a 4 wheeler could have dumped her there.

In addition, this killer probably kept some of the victims for quite some time before dumping them by the side of the road. There are ways to keep the bones in tact until the body is dumped. Then, after dumping the remains and over time and due to the elements, the real decomp took place

IMO, someone kept SG's remains until after the search for bodies slowed to a halt...maybe even moved her there from a hiding place...shortly before she was found but long enough for her body to become skeletonized. I'm trying not to be graphic...but, I'm thinking freezer or mummification.

Is it possible SCPD just said things about her being *in* the bramble to try and justify why they did not find her for so long? Or to otherwise keep a lid on info they did not want to divulge? We have seen pics of where she was found. Some locals have visited the site; was it not said that the spot she was found is accessible? And near some trees I believe, not the "bramble"? (Need to go look again. So much information to remember)

If she was there the whole time...all vegetation under her remains should have been dead, destroyed and possibly blackened by the adipoce (decomp bodily fluids.) SCPD, they have not divulged anything to the public about Shannan's remains site.

Was her other earring found next to her skull?
Was the skeleton intact minus the Hyoid Bone?
Was there any tissue left on her bones?
Was there a bra or underwear found on or over the bones.
Was there a shirt?
Was her blonde wig on or near her skull?
Was her natural hair found under and beside her skull or found at all?

Was her titanium jaw found?
If so, was it in the appropriate position?

Did a Forensic Anthropologist analyze the remains?

Was there evidence of vegetation growth on, through, or under her remains?

Was there evidence of a year and a half's worth of weather damage to the bones. Were the bones darker or lighter in the areas that should have been based on being exposed for a year and a half?

None of these facts have been released.

Was there evidence of any animal activity...marks on any bones...if not...well, that is pretty good evidence suggesting the body did not decompose at that site.

In the case of human remains the lack of evidence is evidence.
